The Nevada commission follows the World Anti-Doping Agency code and benzoylecgonine is not banned out-of-competition. As a result, the commission was unable to penalize Jones or prevent him from fighting despite knowing of the positive test.

So its not banned out of competition?

I'm just going to start assuming all MMA rumors are true from this point forward.

Nick gets suspended for weed, but Jones will not?

Nothing makes sense about the fight game. In cage/ring action is the only reason I stick around.

Even if the commission couldn't suspend him, whats stopping the UFC from scrapping the fight besides the obvious answer? But fighter safety and whatnot.........

Yeah & Diaz tested positive for metabolites, which means he did not consume any weed in the weeks leading up to the fight, but had some in his system. Jones also tesetes positive for metabolites, but the difference is weed stays in your system for up to 45 days (likely for a daily user like Diaz) where as cocaine leaves your system in as little as a few days.

That means Jones did coke- I don't think it's crack- at the end of November/beginning of December or 4 weeks/ 1 month out from his fight. Diaz followed the rules given, didn't consume weed for a month & got suspended, jones got high a month out of his fight, doesn't have his decision overturned, doesn't get suspended & lose his purse or bonus.

Diaz also has a license for weed in California- not recognized in Nevada; does Jones hold a Dentists or Pharmacists licence? Those are the only 2 professionals in the US allowed to possess & use cocaine (on patients) legally.

Weed is for losers kids, do coke like the champ! If you get busted, you keep your belt & still get paid-which you will need because coke ain't cheap.

I'm not the least bit surprised Jones does coke. He's got that aggressive coke head manner about him now that he didn't have long ago when he was coming up. Hit it big and dipped into the rock star lifestyle. More money, more drug dealers.

Ehhh, Jones has always been rumored to be a little wild.  Dude had a child at 19, got a DUI with two women who weren't his gf/fiancee in the car a few years back and had a video come out where he was naked with another woman who was not his gf/fiancee last year.  Josh Gross (solid MMA journalist) said on twitter that it's an open secret in MMA that Jones is his own worst enemy and always has been.  Hope he gets the help he needs and kicks the habit.

Bones's urine tests are revealing more than just a coke habit, they are also showing very abnormal levels of testosterone, as in pretty unbelievable.  His levels are off more then when a former Olympic wrestler was popped for HGH.

Also, this is somewhat proof that MMA is still not the huge sport some of us would like it to be as the coverage has been very little outside of MMA-specific outlets and the problem with those are that 75% of MMA media outlets are a joke because they consist of folks who are basically auditioning for a job with UFC and/or are afraid to challenge Dana/Zuffa on anything out of fear of losing credentials to UFC events.

So if Nick wins, title shot? **** it, let's get rid of the remaining credibility the ufc has.

Don't take it personal as a Diaz fan, Dana just needed to distract from Bones & his nose candy. Plus we all knew this was coming, at least for Anderson anyways. I bet Dana already has the poster for memorial day made up in his office for the trilogy.

Sherdog is saying the coke bust is a cover for the PEDs.

Not surprising. And to NoCal's point about the media, Kevin Iole from Yahoo is proving to be a UFC puppet. He ran the article right away explaining why the UFC did nothing, saying they would have violated a contract, but doesn't touch on how they violate terms of other contracts when they rip purses or bonuses.

Then on twitter Iole tries to reaffirm that the 2nd test done Dec. 18 (Dec. 4 first test) was b/c of positive test for cocaine first time. Turns out the 2nd test didn't even test for street drugs, so the lab wanted to look at something else, like maybe that suspiciuoslly low T/E ratio. Conspiracy theory is he takes excess estrogen to mask PED use. Kevin Iole is still trying to spin it like a paid UFC PR employee. I can't read his crap anymore after this.

On any big issue, Iole falls right in line with Dana and crew's perspective.

Nothing about this story makes sense, it fails every possible smell test. Dana said on Fox Sports 1 that they were aware of the failure. He goes on to say how they care about "Jon Jones the person". They cared enough about him to let him continually train for a fight, cut weight, and ultimately fight while knowing he was on cocaine? Not to get morbid, but if Jones had a heart attack and dies in the cage while fighting, and the UFC knew he had already failed a drug test, MMA would no longer exist.

On this page, we are discussing the p4p #1 using coke and masking agents, Anderson getting a MW title shot after beating a WW on hiadus with a losing streak, and Al Bundy fighting CM Punk.

(If I had any photoshop skills, I would put Dana's face on that pic)

If that's true that is suspect as hell.  Hiding it is only going to make the UFC looks worse down the road.  But Dana likes irrationally siding with the wrong people, look how long he treated Chael Sonnen favorably.
