d0ublestr0ker0ll
If Cormier wins, I won't be able to take him as champ seriously. I mean Jones won that fight soundly. I can see why they stripped the title from Jones, but it will still be an interim title fight to most people. AJ as champ would be cool, and Jones' return fight against him would be huge, but AJ being called the undisputed champ is simply an untrue statement. It's disputed. Jon Jones is in his prime, he's undefeated, it's the elephant in the room. Seriously though, I've been a Jon Jones supporter, but he's been ****ing ridiculous. He needed a wake up call, I think he'll be champ again.

Agreed, Cormier is a quick fat boy too, has good head movement, hasn't been rocked. AJ has a different level of power though, and he goes after it early. I can see either guy winning by TKO. If AJ's cardio starts to fade, he'll probably get pounded out, or get his back taken and choked out. d0ublestr0ker0ll
Edit: Ariel shot this down earlier, doesn't look like it's true: Rumor that the UFC might add a 115 lb men's division (Strawweight). I dunno man, I'm just scared of how much Rogan is going to talk about how fast they are. They're fast, they're fast, look at that speed, fast, fast, quick, lightning quick, Nestle Quick. Malapropismic Depository
Miocic, complete dominance of Hunt in Round 1. 2 for 2 in takedowns, which is quite a feat against Hunt. Actually made it look easy Outstruck him on the feet and on the ground.  Round 2 - Miocic now 3 for 3 in Takedowns Hunt is hurt Miocic now up, 2-0  Round 3 - Miocic now 4 for 5 in Takedowns Hunt has been constantly bludgeoned. Only Hunt could take that kind of punishment, and stay sober Miocic up 3-0  Round 4 - Stipe says,, "Hey if the Takedown is workin, do it again, and grind out some more GNP" Now he's 5 for 6 in TD's Hunt's whole face is swollen. One eye is pretty much shut It's now 4-0.....In between the 4th and 5th, Doctor warmed he may stop the fight if Hunt can't see  TKO Miocic. Utter dominance Hunt looks like he was run over by a tractor trailer. Miocic doesn't even look like he was in a fight. Virtually without a scratch Edited May 10, 2015 by Malapropismic Depository
d0ublestr0ker0ll
Thanks Mal Dep. Hunt might hang 'em up soon, Miocic is obviously more of an MMA fighter. Hunt could get by with his hands until he ran in to JDS, and now the wear and tear along with his age are telltale signs that the Cinderella story is over. Can't believe he had the run in the UFC that he did. Was basically granted his first couple of fights because of his Pride contract. He lost the first fight I believe, then came the surge. Perhaps a rematch with Bigfoot, but I'm not too keen on seeing Hunt take more shots to the head. Yeah it's made of reinforced concrete, but we know that because of all the damn bombs he's eaten. Maybe he still can make noise in kickboxing, not sure how deep HW is currently. Otherwise, novelty fights are in his UFC future. StillUnknown
It was closer to a snuff film than an actual fight  The ref, the fight doctor, & Hunt's corner should face some kind of discipline for allowing that to go as long as it did. Hunt is the very type of fighter that will always need others to look out for his well being in the cage. He is unnaturally tough, but that beating lasted a couple of rounds longer than it ever should have.  I don't like to feel uncomfortable when watching a fight, last night was one of those instances.
artmonkforHOF
missed the fight, but saw Hunt's face and was kinda glad I didn't watch. As for Miocic or any UFC HW going on a run- I'll believe it when I see it. HW is so thin, Stipe could have just earned the next tirle shot when you factor in injuries. When big dudes finally break, they also take a long time to heal. I just want one HW belt holder to fight 3 times in 18 months, I don't really care who it is. Chachie
I watched it. Poor Mark, he just could not deal with Stipe's ground game. I think Miocic is trying to take a page from Cain's book.

The former Penn State standout had been talking to several promotions as he trains for the 2016 Olympics, but decided on Bellator in large part because of his rapport with president Scott Coker."I've known for a long time now that after I get Olympic gold around my neck, I was going to go get some MMA gold for my waist," Ruth told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani, who later confirmed the signing with Bellator. "I've been talking with all the major organizations, and at the end of the day, I really believe in what Scott Coker is doing with Bellator. They're signing the top talent, they're putting on exciting fights, and they're letting me secure my own sponsors. Bellator has been signing some real good prospect lately. Now that Reebok money has been revealed to be considerably less than what most were expecting, I wonder if it leads to more fighters looking to go elsewhere. I read on Bloody Elbow Coker is getting so many calls from UFC fighters, camps & managers he has resorted to saying "talk to me when you are a free agent", can't do nothing for you now homie. I wonder if Jones jumps ship? No longer under a championship clause, did he have a multi fight contract like Anderson or just the automatic renewal since he was made champ & never lost?
