No_Pressure
I'm going to sort of agree with MSF. The jerks with the cameras started it. Is it legal to film a hallway? Sure. It's legal for me to stand next to you enjoying your lunch break in the summer sun and get a zoom lens close up of your chewing. Doesn't make it a nice thing to do though, especially if you ask me to stop and I don't. Would have been nice to see them get their asses kicked. Sadly they ran into Joe "glass jaw" Canada in the hallway and came out looking tough. Who is more at fault? The guys for being annoying or the woman for reacting the way she did? Isnt this the first thing all kids learn in school? People that try to annoy you are only trying to get a reaction out of you and this lady went right along with it. What would have happened if the whole event was shrugged off and she just stepped out of the hall and into her room where they cant legally film her? Nothing. Those idiots with the camera wouldnt have had a video of canadians acting stupid, and nobody would have known the woman exsists. Instead she decided to pick a fight with the guys and now look, she's on you tube. Same thing goes for the scenario you gave of a guy filming you when you eat lunch. I am sure the natural reaction would be to say what the **** are you doing? Go away. If the guy continues to stand there you have 2 options, ask nicely if they will stop, leave the lunch area all together, or pick a fight with the guy, throw a slight elbow, get punched in retaliation, and end up on youtube. Sure the camera guys dont have to be dicks but if the person A. was polite about wanting them to go away, B. wasnt doing something interesting for them to continue filming, or C. had just gone back into her room where they couldnt legally film her, she would have avoided the entire mess altogether. There are times to fight someone and stand up for youself and there are times to say to yourself: okay **** it this isnt even worth the trouble. Bad Man Burgendy & Gold
Both of those people seem dispicable. And anyone cheering the US on this is a flat out redneck. Honestly both groups seemed to be filled with douchbags, but the Americans shouldn't have been filming in the first place

I'm sorry but porno makers barely out of their diapers who look like they'd rather be filming episodes of "Jack***" aren't who I want "repping" America. If anything they're promoting the "Stupid American" reputation that we tend to have around the world.

To their defense, they walked away, went in their room, and were keeping to themselves when Frenchie showed up to start crap. If they were thinking clearly they would have had the hotel manager knock on the door or called the police and let them handle it. The fat chick also said when asked what her problem was, she said "you looked at me mother F-er", she grabbed the glasses off of his face, and actuallty assaulted him. French dude had no right to step foot into their room, touch the light switch, push them, or ask them to turn the camera off, especially after knocking on their door. It seemed to me they were trying to avoid a physical fight right from the start until the elbow was thrown. Its good to see Canada is still somewhat of a democracy and they didn't get in trouble. We have a reputation as ugly Americans, and there is a big difference between the two.

We have a reputation as ugly Americans, and there is a big difference between the two. I hate to be the one to break this to you, but Americans are indeed viewed as "stupid" around the world. I've even started coming up with theories as to why people that visit the US come away thinking that because I've heard it so many times. My theory: Stupid people are employed in the US. You have to be sharp to get any job in a nation with 20%+ unemployment and you have to be good at it to keep the job with a long line of people waiting to take it. In the US however anyone can get a job that's willing to show up and work. Many of the lesser minds out there end up in jobs that have direct contact with consumers (and thus those visiting the US).
