Riggo#44
Could we add D. Green to the skins list, I think of #28 when I hear the skins name. That was my 1st thought as well but a case could be made for Sonny, Riggins, or JKC also (That;s JACK Kent Cooke - not JOHN!) Here's my list: NFC East Washington - Gibbs Dallas - Landry N.Y. - LT Philly - Reggie White NFC North Chicago - Butkus Detroit - Barry Sanders Green Bay - Lombardi Minnesota - Tarkenton NFC South New Orleans - Archie Manning Tampa Bay - Derrick Brooks ??? Atlanta - Glanville - kidding - I'd say Vick. Carolina - Probably Mills, but I'd say it's too early for them to have a "Face" NFC West San Fran - Rice Seattle - Largent Rams - Eric Dickerson Arizona - An empty stadium AFC East New England - Brady Miami - Marino Buffalo - Kelly N.Y. - Namath AFC North Pittsburgh - Bill Cowher's Chin Ravens - Ray Lewis Cincy - Chad Johnson Cleveland - Jim Brown AFC South Texans - Too new to have one yet Colts - Unitas or Manning Jacksonville - Too new Oilers/Titans - McNair - MVP, AFC Champ trumps Moon AFC West Denver - Elway Kansas City - Okoye - simply for his Techmo Super Bowl supremacy. I once ran for 3400 yrds and 68tds w. the Nighmare. He had 1200 by wk 2! Raiders - Al Davis San Diego - The money powder blue unis - will be Tomlinson before it's all over - for now I'd say Coryell or Fouts
Califan007 The Constipated
Carolina - Jake Delhomme I'm not sure I even know what Jake Delhomme looks like..lol
FootballGuy2677
Atlanta- Micheal Vick Houston- Andre Johnson or Domanick Davis. Eagles- Randall Cunningham I guess...don't really know their history if they got one at all. It would be Donavon McNabb if he won/wins a Super Bowl. Cowboys- Defintly Emmit Smith Jacksonville- Brunell Bucs are probally Jon Gruden not Derrick Brooks. Arizona- Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin share this title. Could be Matt Lienart if he pans out.
Califan007 The Constipated
Redskins: That old guy who dresses like an "indian" and pretends to choke the guy dressed like a Cowboy when we play Dallas. Falcons: Jeff George yellin' at the coach on the sidelines. Or Deion Sanders Cowboys: Their cheerleaders. Or Deion Sanders Panthers: That one guy who played for that one coach that one season. Yeah, him. Eagles: The moronic bimbo who threw a beer at Portis' mom. Scratch that...the moronic bimbo who threw the beer getting the snot ****slapped out of her afterwards by Portis' mom. 49ers: Joe Montana. Or Deion Sanders. Bills: Scott Norwood (heh) Giants: Joe Pisarcik (heh heh) Cardinals: An empty chair.
TheKeyBlue
Id say that Roger Staubach or Troy Aikman for the young'ns would be Dallas'

NFC East Washington - Joe Gibbs (Id say Riggins is the closest player) Dallas - Emmitt Smith (Landry close) N.Y. - Lawrence Taylor Philly - Randall Cunningham (Jaworski close) NFC North Chicago - Mike Ditka (although lots of good choices, Payton, Halas, Butkus, Singletary) Detroit - Barry Sanders Green Bay - Vince Lombardi (Brett Favre very close) Minnesota - Chris Carter (Tarkenton very close) NFC South New Orleans - Archie Manning Tampa Bay - Derrick Brooks Atlanta - Jamal Anderson Carolina - I'll go with Steve Smith, first "face" theyve had in a while. NFC West San Fran - Joe Montana Seattle - Steve Largent Rams - Eric Dickerson Arizona - Larry Centers (being kind...) AFC East New England - Bill Belichick Miami - Dan Marino (agreed Shula is close) Buffalo - Jim Kelly N.Y. - Joe Namath AFC North Pittsburgh - Chuck Noll (close call with Cowher and Rooney) Ravens - Ray Lewis Cincy - Boomer Esiason Cleveland - Jim Brown AFC South Texans - Eh... no one really. Colts - Johnny Unitas Jacksonville - Not really anyone, although you could say Tony Boselli, but not in a good way. Oilers/Titans - Warren Moon AFC West Denver - John Elway Kansas City - Derrick Thomas Raiders - Al Davis San Diego - Lance Alworth (Fouts or Winslow other options)

RedskinNutt
New guys here. Love the site already. This is the kind of thread I can sink my teeth in- this is perfect sports bar/road trip type stuff. Looking at some of the responses, I can tell there are some youngins in here Here's my list. I know I'm suppose to pick one, but some of your answers are sensible as well. Looking forward to posting and chatting with all of you soon! NFC East Washington - Gibbs/ Riggo (tie) Riggo's face after breaking McNeal's tackle is burned in my mind...good times. Dallas - Landry N.Y. - LT Philly - Reggie White NFC North Chicago - Ditka Detroit - Barry Sanders Green Bay - Lombardi Minnesota - Tarkenton NFC South New Orleans - Archie Manning, soon to be replaced by Reggie Bush Tampa Bay - Coach McKay Atlanta - Vick. Before him, I had Billy White Shoes Johnson or Bartkowski on the mind Carolina - Kerry Collins...sorry, the team's too young, I can still see him throwing bad passes in the uni. NFC West San Fran - Montana...arms raised, nuff said Seattle - Largent Rams - Eric Dickerson running through the middle of the line, goggles n' all Arizona - OJ Anderson (from the St. Louis days), maybe Jim Hart. If you're only going by the team since they've been in AZ, then it would probably be Larry Centers AFC East New England - Belichick/Brady Miami - Shula Buffalo - O.J., sorry, it's the way it is N.Y. - Namath AFC North Pittsburgh - Noll Ravens - Ray Lewis Cincy - Ken Anderson Cleveland - Jim Brown AFC South Texans - Carr Colts - Unitas Jacksonville - Brunell Oilers/Titans - Moon AFC West Denver - Elway Kansas City - Stram Raiders - Al Davis San Diego - Fouts
tonyriggins
All my faces have been put in by someone except for Cardinals-Jim Hart, Tampa- Warren Sapp, although I did actually think of McKay first and Doug Williams.

pjfootballer
One team that everyone has with modern players is Atlanta. they've been around since the late 60's. Everyone has said Vick and Jamal Anderson. One guy said Billy White Shoes Johnson and Bartkowski. But the true face of the Falcons is LB Tommy Nobis. He was a monster in the 60's, but was overshadowed by Butkus, Nitschke and the fact that Atlanta was an expansion team. Nobis gets my vote for Atlanta. Arizona, O.J. Anderson, Jim Hart, Terry Metcalf, Dan Dierdorf come to mind, but Safety Larry Wilson could be said also.
RedskinNutt
I remember reading about Nobis, he was a strong LB back in the day. Good call. I do think of Hanifan, Hart, OJ, EJ Junior, even Roy Green when "Cardinals" are mentioned. I always like to think of Terry Metcalf as a Redskins though :helmet: I also think of Neil O'Donoghue, their kicker during that time. He killed us with some kicks during those years. celder
I think Tom Brady for the Patriots. I would also like to throw out George Preston Marshall for the Skins.

brdawk20
For the Cardinals I say Jim Hart. Another guy for Atlanta would be Jeff van Note. Cincy-Anthony Munoz, regarded by many as one of the top 3 lineman ever to play.
JoeSkins
For the Texans it'd be David Carr, no doubt about it.
Diehard Otis
When I think "face", I think about the one image associated with that franchise. Is this against the rules? NFC East Washington: Riggo runs into the hall Philadelphia: Randall's play against the Giants New York: Phil Simms' disney commercial Dallas: Tony Dorsett's Monday Night run (St.Louis Cardinals: Conrad Dolbler) NFC North Chicago: the superbowl shuffle Detroit: Barry Sanders' two runs against the Bucs Green Bay: the goal line plunge to win the Ice Bowl Minnesota: Alan Page(?) running the wrong way with the ball NFC South Atlanta: 2 legit 2 quit Carolina: for some reason, that tight end they had for a hot second New Oleans: "Playoffs?" Tampa Bay: those hideous old uniforms of theirs NFC West Arizona Cardinals: (Los Angeles Rams:the previous Eric Dickerson goggle comment) San Francisco: Montana to Clark to beat Dallas Seattle Seahawks: Shawn Alexander St.Louis Rams: Kurt Warner & Dick Vermeil(sp) celebrate in Atlanta AFC East (Baltimore Colts: that old footage end zone splash to beat the giants) Buffalo: Scott Norwood missing that field goal to beat the gaints Miami: that idiotic play of that kicker's fumble that led to a Skins touchdown New England: Madden going out on a limb & openly criticizing Belicheck and Brady for going for the win, before they won, in their 1st super bowl win New York Jets: Joe Namath wagging his finger AFC North Baltimore Ravens: Ray Lewis and his pre-game chant Cincinnati: Ickey Woods doing the Ickey shuffle (Cleveland Browns: Jim Brown) Cleveland: Tim Couch crying Pittsburgh: Jack Lambert's toothless closeup (the poster shot for football) AFC South (Houston Oilers: "the house of pain") Houston Texans: beating Dallas on ESPN Sunday Night Football Indianapolis Colts: Dickerson trashing the broncos on Halloween night Jacksonville: injuries Tennessee Titans: the Music City Miracle AFC West Denver: the drive (& the fumble) Kansas City: Hank Straham(sp) talking about matriculating the ball down the field (Los Angeles Raiders: Bo Jackson running wild on the seahawks on MNF) Oakland Raiders: Madden being hoisted upon his players shoulders San Diego: Kellen Winslow being carried off the field by his teammates (Seattle Seahawks: Steve Largent's catch) Honerable Mentions: Washington-Doug holding up the helmet, Philadelphia-Reggie & Jerome, Chicago-'Brian's Song', Green Bay-Lambau leap!, LA Rams-Deacon Jones & Crazy Legs, B-more Colts-John Mackey, Cincy-Boomer, Cleveland-those fans maiming that ref, Pitt-Cowher's(sp) chin, Houston-Glanville, KC-Derrick, Raiders-that awful MA run, Denver-"This One's for John"

manicd
Good list....I would only add the following:Philly- Reggie White Bears- Hales- No NFL without him Tampa Bay- LeRoy Selmon (sp?) Only HOF the Bucs have in addition to their overall #1 draft choice back in 1976 Cincy- Anthony Munzo Oilers/Titians- Has to be Earl Campbell here....the younger generation really needs to see him play....blows away anything McNair or George ever did in that uniform. Earl Campbell was a horse. Imagine trying to tackle a dude with 38" thighs!
