rincewind
Inspired by the minor league manager's blow-up (and JMac's thread), I figured i'd ask who do you think is the all-time best baseball manager at letting the ump know what's up? My dark horse is Lloyd McLendon - who once STOLE 1st base, literally - picked it up and walked off the field.

gbear
paraphrase of a story I heard a while back: "Would you throw me out is I said you were a no good, blind cheating SOB of an ump?" Ump: "Yes" "Would you throw me out if I thought you were a no good, blind, cheating SOB of an ump?" Ump: "No, think what you want." Earl Weaver: " Well I think you're a no good, blind, cheating SOB of an ump."
visionary
Lou Pinella is always good for some antics.
Predicto
Earl Weaver was the man. All else are posers, even Billy Martin.

No_Pressure
The funniest arguing manager was Earl Weaver I would say the scariest could be Frank Robinson. I have heard many accounts that he speaks softly but is very intimidating.
PCS
Billy Martin for the sheer violence of his arguments and Earl Weaver, for the entertainment of his arguments. Martin, I think, took it that seriously and believed alot of what he was saying. Weaver, I think, sometimes was putting on a show for his players.
