CooleyNaMean
He said Brunell threatend retiring after his finger injury a few weeks ago but the coaches said campbell wasn't ready so he decided not to. I hope he is kidding. I can't see Brunell retiring cuz of a finger injury during OTAs Yeah I heard that and was like :paranoid: oh no! The host (who I don't care too much for, I like Rich Eisen MUCH better) tried to get a word in edge wise after Portis made those statements about Brunell. The host was like "that's why on NFL Network...you hear it here first..." and Portis and Davis were too busy talking ish. SO much so that the host just moved on to another question. Rich Eisen wouldn't have moved on and we could have perhaps gotten a more definitive answer as to whether or not the claims of Brunell wanting to retire were true. Maybe they'll do a follow up with "Clintone Pohtees" and grill him about the Brunell retirement statement tomorrow. GC

flexxskins
Some of you guys really need to get out a little bit more. When it came to the Brunell question, CP was obviously sarcastic in his answer and started to joke around with it. IMO, it seemed like he was trying to say (in his own special way) that he is not the team trainer, therefore there is no way that he could answer that question accurately. I really don't see/understand where some of you are saying that CP and TD didn't seem to like each other. These guys obviously hit it off from the start of the show and left the other guy (Darrin Horton) kind of hanging the entire time. CP even corrected Horton on the name of one of CPs characters in a irritated tone. He told Horton that the characters name was "Dr. Don't know", but Horton said "Dr. I don't know." The funny thing is is that they later played a clip of the character and he did call himself "Dr. I don't know."

XxSpearheadxX
Taylor Jacobs - "the most talented guy to never touch the field in the NFL" An UNSOLICITED praising of Taylor Jacobs. Nobody asked him about anything relating to TJ and CP just brought up what a stud he is. You guys need to shut up about TJ already and realize the tough situations his injuries have put him in. Add this to Sean Springs saying he is , "The toughest WR to guard on the team." thank god CP said that, after the stupid Sam Huff quote about "Practice players" everyone was jumping on the senile old guy's bandwagon when he doesn't even play with TJ. Anyway, CP seems genuinely excited, he is a funny funny dude. My favorite part was when he was talking to Tony Dorsett, "Man... I want a job where I don't have to concentrate all day long - Hear that Coach Giiiibbbsss" That cracked me up.
XxSpearheadxX
he's some hate... you can't spell jacobs without CUT Um... I know what i've seen from TJ, and it seems the guys who actually play with him and depend on him think he is a stud in waiting... but you guys just want to hate the kid - even when Brunell almost never threw him the ball. Oh well...
The Full Monty
So who else caught Clinton roasting Terrell Davis? The Cowboy fans were talking abot Portis saying to Davis, "You should be hanging out with Barry Bonds" --- is that for real? edit: i am now hearing he was just being really really sarcastic/joking.. In fact it's hard to take anything he says seriously. I'd say 90% of the time he's being sarcastic or playing around. I too thought TD and CP got along great, they were obviously having fun taking pokes at each other. As a rookie CP comes into the locker room and calls TD old man. TD is like who is this guy?! But the way Portis said it, I definitely think that there is some truth to it. Perhaps he was ready to hang up his helmet for his hunting riffle. :whoknows: I tell you one thing, Portis sure did represent well. I only have one problem...When they were showing his many costumes they left out Coach Janky Spanky.

You guys need to shut up about TJ already and realize the tough situations his injuries have put him in. This is a bunch of bull and you know it. When Patten went down Jacobs seen a considerable amount of time and he failed to do anything. How much more do we need to see before we consider him a bust??? I am not sure where CP got off giving this dude as much praise as he did but I would have to disagree. Having a few good OTA's doesn't always equate to the field. :2cents:

KevinMac
If any of you think that even 1% of the Brunell story is true, I would like to talk to you about selling you the Pacific Ocean. Just sit back, think about it for a second, and see if any part of the story makes a lick of sense. Brunell gets the chance to work in a QB's dream offense, one that has made stars out of Kurt freaking Warner and Trent Green; he spends the entire offseason learning the playbook, as has been reported; he goes through OTA's practicing so well that Saunders says "Mark is the person I am most excited about" working with; Mark has the starting job wrapped up before training camp even starts; etc. etc. etc. Now, with all of that in mind, you are going to believe that he wanted to retire because he got a MINOR boo-boo on a finger, one that he supposedly fractured pulling a trigger on a gun??? Come on, people. I have to believe some of you are already drunk in preparation for the big holiday weekend coming up.
