The Evil Genius
Ideally, we need to win and have Italy win. Not much chance of the other 600 ways to happen.
Kilmer17
I actually think the most likely scenario is this- We beat Ghana 3-0 and Czech beats Italy 2-

Fergasun
The remaining WC schedule is pretty sweet. All 4 teams in a group play at the same time... so you don't know the result until after it is done.

stcb99
Even if the US advances they would have to face Brazil.
jbooma
The prize we get if we make if we make it to the next round ...... BRAZIL!!!!!!!!!
The Evil Genius
I watched the Brazil game and wasn't impressed with their play so far. The Socceroos took it to them and Brazil should be thankful they escaped with a win (yeah, I know, they still won 2-0). Had Australia actually gotten a few breaks, they would have tied or even won the game. Now, I fully expect Brazil to come together in Round 2...but it still looks like they are missing something...and judging by some of their players weights, its not the buffet table. Kilmer17
Not absolutely. If Japan beats Brazil by 2 and Australia beats Croatia, Australia wins the group and Japan is 2nd. Hey if we're dreaming, might as well dream big right?
stcb99
Japan has no chance against Brazil.
