I like the fact that his own employers are proving what a bonehead Beef Pita is by his lame, and now, diminishing excuses. He's now down to team leader? Art... not considered a team leader? Oh c'mon... even SI knows better than that. To me, it's not a matter of who deserves to be in more. Monk, Rice (of course), Irvin, and Hayes... ALL FOUR deserve to be in the Hall. Period. Let them argue about the others in 10 or 15 years. And the bit about Monk and Clark is NO different than Irvin and Harper. I was appalled that King didn't mention Monk in his "Ten jilted players who deserve to be in Hall of Fame" article. Jilted? Irvin has been eligible for what a year or two? Come on.... :doh: Slightly revised quote: "Catching 888 balls for a three-time Super Bowl winner and 940 overall, and being a key guy in the locker room on game days ... that should make him a gimme."
