My San Francisco Report.

There was so much to report on my San Fran trip, I dont know where to start. I had an awesome time with my Partner - I MEAN, my friends !!

All I can say, is this city is incredible !! Somebody get me a job there, because I want to make it home !!

First, the ballpark - wow, the Giants have an awesome little park, and an incredible view of the bay from almost any seat. And as you guys instructed me, I went there to Boo Barry Bonds last night when they hosted St Louis. The only problem was, I was drowned out by the many Giant fans who were booing during Bonds' at-bat, except they were booing the St Louis pitcher for pitching Bonds so far from the strike zone.

Last night I did EVERYTHING in my power to make sure Bonds didnt break Ruth's record as long as I was in the house.

I ran up and down the aisles chanting :

Peanuts ! Popcorn ! Barry Bonds Voo-Doo Dolls !

Get your Peanuts ! Popcorn ! Barry Bonds Voo-Doo Dolls !

Sunday was the annual "Bay to Breakers" Race. It's some marathon where everybody dresses up in costumes while they race, or stumble, in most cases, across the city, from the Bay to the Beach. You'll see some of the wildest costumed people, drunk of course, and trying to run across town in less than a day's time. Only problem with this of course, was the few idiots who had to ruin it for everyone by running in the nude. And I mean COMPLETELY nude, except for their jogging shoes. No kidding - there they were, running with their 2-inch little Weeney flapping up and down, smacking their belly back and forth. Not that I was watching.....But, to those freaks, I ask, "WHY, WHY, WHY ?!?!" None of us need to see that.

Saturday, was the day I went to North Beach to sample the place who supposedly had the best Tira Misu in all of San Fran. The SF Entertainment paper claimed (and so did my friends) that Cafe Grecco, had the BEST Tira Misu in the city. So I went. And I ate. And let me tell you HONESTLY, and HUMBLY - MY TIRA MISU tasted better. I need to package and sell my Tira Misu, if that's the best they can come up with. Nobody can dip their Ladyfingers in the espresso like I can.

And one other thing about North Beach - they call it "The Little Italy of the west coast". Listen, I've been to "The Little Italy of the east coast" in NYC, and the New York Little Italy is a JOKE compared to the one in SF. Seriously, NY shouldnt even call it "Little Italy". It's an insult to Italy. So while the Tira Misu in North Beach was a bit over-rated - North Beach itself was pretty cool, overall.

The PEOPLE - San Fran has the FRIENDLIEST people in ANY big city I've ever been to. And I've travelled A LOT. And when I say "friendly", I'm not talkin about the "Rainbow" crowd.

Well, I knew it was going to be a good trip, from the moment I walked into my first nightclub - I'm sittin there, mindin my own business, and some stunningly hot blonde comes up to me and starts kissing me, and massaging me. I kid you not. After determining that it was NOT a Transvestite, but a truly hot woman, I carefully deliberated and decided not to press charges against her, for such molestation. It turns out, that she was drunk, had just gotten into a big fight with her boyfriend who was in the club, and she was trying to make him jealous by using me as her "toy".

And speaking of women, San Fran has some of the hottest women ANYWHERE. It's simply amazing how so MANY gay men there can REMAIN gay, in the company of such incredible women. There's enough there, to make even the most hard-core homosexual say "Wowie Maui" at all the beautiful women.

Muir Woods and Mount Tamalpais - I climbed to the very top of Mount Tam, and I'll have some pictures soon to prove it.

Some other sights I saw, worth mentioning, for anyone considering the visit-

Angel Island

Napa Valley

Alcatraz

Twin Peaks

Coit Tower

"the bridge"

Crooked Lombardi St

Pier 39 and the barking Sea Lions

Fisherman's Wharf

Ghiradelli Factory

Sausalito

The Mission

The Famous In & Out Burger

Cliff House

Golden Gate Park

Ah, Bay to Breakers. Is there a better sporting event than this?

I think not.

Did you catch the stormtroopers this year?

Some of the pictures aren't work safe ;)

As for Pac Bell (I refuse to call it by any other name) - glad you enjoyed it? Where did you sit? We have tix in left field - so I hope you made it around the park and slid down the coke bottle slides :)

Missed the Stormtroopers. Even a whole week wasn't enough time to see it all. But I"ll be back.

As for my seats, I was in 307 - 3rd level, right behind 1st base. The outfield bleachers were sold out because everyone wanted the chance to catch Bonds' potential record-breaking home run.

Oh, and your right, SF women are the most beautiful in the US.

:)

Funny... I partied at UC Davis on three seperate occasions in my life, and I also spent several days in Berkley.

The only stories I had to tell my friends when I got back was that northern Californian women were perhaps the most extraordinarily average I have ever seen.

Although I've never done the bar/nightlife scene in San Fran proper, I've spent a lot of time in the city over the years. (2 aunts and uncle lived their entire lives there, and my sister lived there for 5 years). I NEVER remember seeing beautiful women.

But like I said... I've never done the bar scene there, so I'm holding out hope that I had extraordinarily bad luck, and that the planets and moons all aligned perfectly for me not to see a single attractive woman on the multiple occasions I visited.

Don't get me wrong... I still love SF and surrounding areas... one of the best cities in the world. But I find it odd that somebody commented on the quality of women... because imho it is probably the worst I've seen in the entire country. :2cents:

Mick did you go up to the tallest building (pyramid i believe) they have a bar there that overlooks the entire city just amazing.

San Fran is very nice heck even the public transportation is nice.

I would still put Atlanta women above San Fran, and yes Atlanta has a huge gay population so you are outnumbered 25 to 1 with straight guys and gals :notworthy

Dude, the hot women are not to be found in Davis or Berkeley. Those are the last places you go looking for women.

ps - North Beach is nice but it is no longer the Little Italy it once was. It used to run from south of Broadway all the way to the Wharf. Guys like Joe DiMaggio and Dante Lavetti grew up in the area, with tehir dads working the fishing boats at the Wharf. 50 year later, the Wharf is mostly tourism, Chinatown has expanded, and North Beech has shrunk from both sides. It's still nice.

I'm glad you had a good time Mikalino. It's amazing how a liberal and gay infested dysfunctional no-morality hellhole city like this can be pretty nice sometimes. ;)

I want to retire to Pacifica - but I'll never be able to afford it. ;)

Luckily, with our season tix (and wife's parents in Daly City), we make it in to the Bay about 1 or 2 weekends a month.

Ahh.... I took yesterday off and was running my dog for a couple of hours on the dunes and cliffs at Fort Funston, just above Pacifica. It was windy, but so beautiful. I think I saw whales spouting out on the ocean, but I'm not sure...

The Carnelian Room bar is at the top of the Bank of America. Spectacular view.

This is not a knock on the south, but I think in general, the women of SF are hotter than the women of the South once you wash off all the makeup. People live a very healthy lifestyle here, and that makes for nice looking people. Plus, the addition of lots of asians and Euros into the mix can't be a bad thing :)

Did I tell you I bought my house in the City in 1993? Rather unfortunate, that.

My parents in law bought their house in 1971 in Daly City, at a cost of about $35,000. He was an engineer for PG&E and was making a lot back then - so they paid it off pretty quickly.

Now, the house is easily worth over $750,000.

Nice return on his investment huh?

You have probably tripled up since 93 right?

Something like that. I thought I was insane when I bought it too - how could this little house be worth this much?

Answer - location location location. I love living here, so do lots of other people, and there ain't enough of here to go around.

Or anywhere else to build.

So what color is your place? Pink or Purple? (and for those who haven't been to SF - this isn't a gay joke!)

I drove through SF a few years ago on the way to Santa Cruz, where a friend of mine lives, and then down through Los Angeles before heading up to Vegas. In my opinion, California as a whole is extremely average, and extremely overrated, mainly by the people who live there. There are many parts of the country with more impressive landscapes. It's overcrowded, and the "culture", such as it is, is gold-electroplate phony. Its main distinguishing feature is the world's largest population of narcissistic, godless, social-darwinian rich people, floating over top of a vast sea of human social debris. The Eagles song nailed it.

Colorado...now that's impressive. California? Dry, crowded, dead, corrupt, soulless. Sorry.

Somehow, I'm not surprised.
