apickmans
Hey guys, Me and some friends are going to Dewey Beach for memorial day weekend. I know its a pretty popular place for young adults like myself. I'm asking the people here who have been there before, what are the cool bars to go to? What things to expect...stuff like that. Thanks a lot guys.
RonJeremy
If you are there on Friday go to the "Taco Toss" at the Lighthouse restaurant and bar. Then head over to the Rusty Rudder or North Beach. Saturday afternoon go to the "Jam Session" at the Bottle and Cork. Saturday night go to the Starboard. Sunday go to the Starboard again for the Bloody Mary Brunch...and then go to any of the above places on Sunday. Hope this helps...hope you like to drink and party. That place is like Spring Break all summer long!

My friends and I usually like to pregame before we go out, so i was just wondering.

JeffSchmeff
You've never been to Dewey? Be ready for super drunken times and a bunch of hot chicks. Ron Jeremy pretty much hit the itinerary on the head, so if you follow that you'll be cool. Make sure to get some pizza at Grotto Pizza and you'll have it all wrapped up. I am jealous as well. Grotto's is the ****. Isn't Dewey Beach considered "Gay Central". I would definitely go somwhere else of I had the choice.

That place is like Spring Break all summer long! This is the perfect itenerary. I lived in Dewey every summer during college and i promise you can stir up as much trouble as you want. As for what time to start i.e. pre-gaming, I would say no later than noon because the starboard and bottle & cork start getting packed early. North beach isnt bad during the day either. At night, get there early because the lines can get ridiculous. Dewey is not the gay beach. Its rehoboth. Stay away from the blue moon.
apickmans
Seems like RonJeremy knows whats up. Appreciate it. haha good to hear it was not the gay beach. Alright and stay away from the blue moon...ha that would be chain off of the Blue Oyster bar right??

McMetal
"The Rusty Rudder" - too funny... My wife and I went to a New Year's bash there a few years ago - we still joke about it. We can't stand to be up there for holidays anymore though...the traffic and congestion are just ridiculous. Harpoon Hannah's in nearby Fenwick Island is also a kick-ass place to eat. Midnight Judges
haha what do you mean by this?? The bay bridge is a piece of ****. It's ancient and 180 feet tall. Scary as hell.
rictus58
One span was built in 1952, the other in 1973. It recently underwent a $45Mill restoration. Hardly ancient.

I knew that. 54 years seems like a long time to me for a bridge like this. have you been on the bridge recently? The damn sections don't even fit together all that well and there is no shoulder what-so-ever.

Midnight Judges
With increased traffic, the study noted, have come more accidents, particularly rear-end collisions. During the three-year study period, 402 accidents occurred on the bridge and the roads leading to it. http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A49821-2004Dec8?language=printer The whole bay bridge design seems flawed to me. The VA beach bridge/tunnel and the new Wilson bridges are far superior IMO.
