SkinsOrlando
Well, can't say I'm all that surprised by this. http://www.canada.com/components/print.aspx?id=11fbf4a8-282a-4d18-954f-546709b1240f&k=32073 Human rights groups are raising alarms over a new law passed by the Iranian parliament that would require the country's Jews and Christians to wear coloured badges to identify them and other religious minorities as non-Muslims. Mass_SkinsFan
WOW. The only part I found surprising was the desription of the individual markings. I had expected them to be large badges worn on the chest and back consisting of a red circle surrounded by 9 rings in alternating colors of red and white. The red circle would be labeled with a "10" and each ring labeled with a decreasing number out to "1". These numbers would be utilized with Iran's new Official Sport... Pin the bullet on the infidel. Thiebear
HA!!! Its called, time to leave, and do it quickly if your Jewish and or Christain.. Unless your willing to fight and pay the ultimate price... AND: Notice to the United Nations: You made a pledge to never allow this to happen again. You failed in Darfur, lets not fail again....

Prosperity
 its almost as if they are doing the exact opposite of what a sensible government is going to do, at every damn point. This law (well technincally it hasn't been approved yet) will also require Muslims to wear a retarded dress code. People aren't going to stand for that. Prosperity
the story might be false... http://www.940news.com/locale.php?news=2512 Iran report of Holocaust-style badges questioned2006-05-19 09:06:12 The National Post is sending shockwaves across the country this morning with a report that Iran's Parliament has passed a law requiring mandatory Holocaust style badges to identify Jews and Christians. But independent reporter Meir Javdanfar, an Israeli Middle East expert who was born and raised in Tehran, says the report is false. "It's absolutely factually incorrect," he told The New 940 Montreal. "Nowhere in the law is there any talk of Jews and Christians having to wear different colours. I've checked it with sources both inside Iran and outside." "The Iranian people would never stand for it. The Iranian government wouldn't be stupid enough to do it." Political commentator and 940 Montreal host Beryl Waysman says the report is true, that the law was passed two years ago. "Jews should wear yellow strips, Christians red strips, because according to the Iranian mullahs, if a Mulsim shakes hands with a non-Muslim he becomes unclean." The National Post cites Iranian expatriots living in Canada as its primary source on the story. The Post story can be read here: http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/news/story.html?id=11fbf4a8-282a-4d18-954f-546709b1240f&k=32073 (You may have to highlight the link and copy and paste it into your browser.) The national post which originally reported this story only used Iranian expatriots as a source...which isn't very reliable to me because they were probably MEK. When people vote their officials in on religious beliefs...oh wait..maybe i shouldn't go there  The people in Iran now did not vote for this type of government... the morons in 1979 did, and they were tricked by Khomeini and his BS. Do they have a choice now? If this story was true (I don't think it is) then I would be very dissappointed if they didn't do anything. Something..Anything... get out in the streets protest at least. SoCalSkins
I don't think there's more than 3 Jews (or Christians) in the entire country.Frightening step forward though, nonetheless. That is absolutely incorrect. Iran has a very large Jewish and Christian population. Most of the Christians are of Armenian decent. The Jewish population has decreased since the revolution but is still very sizeable. Several member of the Israeli government were born in Iran including the current defense minister. The government does not harrass the Jews and Christians that live in Iran and the people on the street don't either. Islam recognizes the two religions but sees them as incomplete. There are several other religions in Iran as well. The group that does face a hard time in Iran are the B'hais.
