TheDirtbags
Does he belong in the PRO FOOTBALL hall of fame? its the pro football Hof not NFL. he won 6 mvps in canada PROFESSIONAL Football league in eight years he also won 3 championships in the CFL in all he threw for 58,179 yds 369 TDs in the NFL, CFL and USFL he also had a damn good drop kick lol If Warren Moon got in I believe he deserves to be also.....heres a article that says that too http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=kreidler_mark&id=2446131
jwebst1
Do they look at Canadian football stats for the American Pro Football HOF? That's a serious question. I can't see how or why they would....... And if not, then NO WAY is a Hall of Famer
Mr. S
right, he did all that in the CFL, not the NFL. I know it is the "pro-football" Hall of Fame, but I don't see any of our other Hall of Famers using CFL stats as part of their career. Maybe if we changed all that to include CFL stats, which seems logical, then Flutie should be in. He hasn't really done much in the NFL, so I doubt he makes it. Birdlives
1 NFL title might do it, but in the end Buffalo and Wade Phillips robbed him of his shot. Then again Namath got in and he has more INT's than TD's so who knows whats going on there. Also, how many CFL greats have gotten in without substantial NFL numbers? Grimm
There is no way he deserves to get in, Warren Moon put up way better NFL numbers and deserves to be there, but there is no way Flutie should even be considered
Warhead36
He was never considered one of the top QBs in the league for any period of time, so I'd say no.

Jethrodsp
Canadian Pro Football Hall of Fame, they should name it after the guy. American Pro Football Hall of Fame, no sir. Next question. And by the way, Moon deserved to be in based on his NFL career alone.
artmonkforHOF
No he wont make it in and I'll tell you why. Because the "PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME" IN CANTON U.S.A., uses a selection commitee of NFL writers, half of whom obviously never saw Art Monk play, so you know they sure as hell never saw Flutie play in the CFL. Should he be in? YES!!!! becasue the pro football hall of fame is suppose to include college and international players, but he will either be left off the ballots entirely or just paid lip service every year he is eligible. If Wade "the retard" Phillips had not for some unkown reason, decided to put Rob Johnson in as the starter for the playoffs, Flutie could have taken that Bills team deep into the playoffs...becasue thats who he is, a championship caliber QB in whatever leauge he played in. Doug Flutie knows how to win football games and can do it all by himself if he has to. Thats one of the neccesatites of a CFL QB, with a longer and WIDER field, you need to be an accurate and strong passer, and with only 3 downs, if the play isnt there, you gotta use your legs and get that first down on second and short. One more thing about his championships in the CFL, there is a LOT more player movement in the CFL than the NFL, due to the fact that guys will take a shot at the NFL, get cut then try to come back to their old team but find their postion already filled by someone else, so they sign with another team. Flutie would win a championship, then see half of his lineman (the better ones in the eyes of NFL scouts) in NFL camps next year and have to start all over again. Could you imagine the skins losing Jansen and Samuels this year and still make a playoff run? The CFL is a hard league to have continued sucess in and Flutie dominated the game every time he took the field. He is as much of a lock as you can get for the CFL Hall of Fame, but sadly there is no ugly yellow blazer in his future.
DWinzit
Seriously, little man in a big man sport. Could run around in Canada, not in the US. Doug Skin Flutie. Hall of Shame
warren
I love Flutie...as a BC fan...and from watching him in the CFL. I've got my fingers crossed on this one.
MartinC
No. In fact HELL NO. He was baisically a career backup in the NFL. Apart from his longevity (which may have something to do with him wearing a baseball cap and carrying a clip board for a living most of his career) what did do to even merit a passing thought in terms of the HOF? whatmeworry
This is a joke, right? NOBODY should ever be elected to the HOF until Monk gets in.
jnhay
This is a joke, right? NOBODY should ever be elected to the HOF until Monk gets in. Why does that matter? The question was whether he is HOF worthy.
PatFischer37
no super bowls great college player and cfl player very good in Buffalo pretty good in San Diego great trivia question with the drop kick NO HOF FOR YOU!!
CowboyinDC
Well Moon said that the comitee had put him in because they included his career in the CFL so I wouldn't be that shocked if Flutie somehow got in. Now if the question is SHOULD he be in the HOF, than the answer is a definite no.
