MSRP of the car is $36,185.89

Invoice of the car is $34,579.00

I'm paying $35,329.00 ( this is what the lease is based on )

So I'm at a point where this guy won't go any lower then what I have below

36 Months

$3000 Down

$409 Total per month thats with taxes and everything.. ( when we first walked in he was at around $514 per month

Let me know what you guys think

I would never lease again, but if you have to don't put any cash down,........why give them $3000.00 up front when you can spead it out over 3 years?

Its a must to add Loan/Lease gap insurance to you car insurance.......

Or buy a car for $3000.00 and save $409.00 a month........and have no car debt...

I dont think that's a very good deal at all.

Have you asked about a straight purchase?

I don't want to purchase a car now we just need something for her to get from point A to point B for now,

If you like the car and are comfortable with the payment, it's a good deal.

You say the salesperson won't come down any... I'm calling BS. Make sure he/she has your contact info... just basically tell him/her that you're not as comfortable with the deal as you'd like to be... and WALK OUT.

Your phone will ring exactly 3 days later. I PROMISE. :)

You just answered your own question.

Get a 4-5 year old Honda Accord.

Might as well buy new. Used Honda's are outrageously expensive. When shopping for an Accord for my wife, we quickly realized that (a) people don't sell used Hondas and (B) If they do, they ask a fortune.

We bought new in August of 2004 (after the 05's started rolling in) and got the car for $800 below invoice.

Don't try to extend yourself with a lease to get a car you really cannot afford in a straight purchase. The A4 is not a get from point A to point B car. Thats a Corolla. I think unless your a business and able to deduct the lease payments purchasing is the way to go. And as an earlier poster said try not to put any cash down if you do lease.

I rather have her get from point A to point B in a 2006 A4 rather then a 5 year old Accord. Untill we get married buy the house and get settled in at that time 3 years down the road our plan is to purchase a new Range Rover Sport

I really dont want to come across the wrong way.

But you need to recheck your financial decisions.

You're thinking about spending 500 bucks a month (take that 3k down and spread it over 36 months) on a car and you dont own a house yet?

Bad finincial choice my friend.

I certainly don't pretend to know your situation, but your talking about settling down 3 years down the road. Your also talking about some pretty pricy cars for most folks. Do you own a house/condo now? If not you might want to consider using some of those resources to get into a real estate ownership position.

But hell if you already own and can afford it, enjoy the cars.

apparently you like expensive cars. If you HAVE to have an Audi then sign the papers and enjoy your car.

on a side note, if you have a habit of buying $35,000 - $50,000 vehicles don't expect to buy a home in the near future...hefty car payments decrease your buying power dramatically. :2cents:

The house is in the process of being built, In one of my other posts I stated that by 3 years down the road we will be done with the initial costs of buying the hosue and furninshing it the way we like

my mistake. Congratulations on your purchase. I am a mortgage loan officer and I see people who don't have the resources you apparently have make the mistake of buying expensive automobiles before they buy a house. When they apply for a mortage they are stunned how little house they can afford because they have a taste for the finer automobiles out there. :2cents:

Did you look at the price of the New Lexus ES350 ?

My buddy has an Audi and has had one problem after another with it.

We thought about it and test drove it, We both love german cars and love the fact that the A4 is a quattro which is great in the snow.

Just sayin, usually people with BMW's, having the ability to pay cash for an Audi A4 and having a house built for them don't bother coming onto a skins message board to ask if they are getting a good deal on a car lease. So take it easy on us. :) We were just trying to help.
