Gator Bait
thrash should retire and become a coach. I'd keep jacobs for one more year
dent19
I hope TJ gets it together at least on Spc Teams so we can finally see the last of Thrash.
Santana_Fan
thrash should retire and become a coach. I'd keep jacobs for one more year Thrash steps up when he needs to, plus he's solid on special teams. In the first Dallas game, he made a couple catches that kept us in the game. Gator Bait
why does everyone dislike Thrash? I don't dislike Thrash at all, he's brought a lot to the team, especially in his first stint with the team. I just think his production has decreased a bit, he is one of the older WRs on the team, and I'd just like to see him go out on top, and not be remembered as the guy who drug ass at the end of his career like Jerry Rice. Gilgamesh
Thrash is a standout on special teams. Jacobs is a waste of a roster spot. Not a hard question to answer.
mdrun
why does everyone dislike Thrash? Seriously, while not the most gifted athlete he has made many huge plays for us. He pulls down some clutch 3rd down receptions and is one of, if not the best special teams player we have. Few acquisitions in recent years have made me happier than when we re-acquired him from the Eagles. I wish he could have been a Redskin for life. CPstretch
this is an easy one. if any of them do get cut, it would be jacobs
DaveP666
Id have to go with Thrash cos of the Dallas game and his experience. But i'd like to have 5 WR's on the roster just incase of injury. Just dont take Antonio Brown back.
Monkskin81
Maybe Patten, when he did play last year he complained about not getting the ball enough. Now he's definitely not getting the ball as much after we added all of the depth to WR. Taylor Jacobs hasn't done anythig too impressive but I like his size (our biggest WR) and Thrash is a special teams Phenom, so if it came down to it I'd say Patten, but I'm not a coach or anything so what do I really know. PlayAction
Obviously the Skins aren't going to cut Moss or the two new free agents. Thrash, Patten, and Jacobs will be tested under the new Offense which relies heavily upon timing patterns. Since Thrash has played in the West Coast Offense I think he'll do fine especially since he should be recovered from his hamstring injury. Patten did well previously in NE with timed throws and his good route running ability will be a major plus. Unfortunately, he doesn't play special teams. Jacobs does great on special teams but has done squat on Offense. Until we see how they perform under the new Saunders Offense it's really premature to guess which players, if any, may be cut. Loxley
Im leaning towards it being TJ if anyone. Thrash is a good special teamer. Jacobs hasnt done anything much on the field. Also hes a Spurrier guy eek! Nah seriously, id love to see him light it up under Al saunders tbh, i had high hopes for him when he was drafted, and hearing all these comments about him from other players, made him sound great. I just wish we could see a bit of that "magic" on gameday. If not then i think his spot deserves to go to one of the rookies we have brought in. ouvan59
Everybody keeps bringing up the fact that Thrash is great on special teams but so is Jacobs. Now I don't know if it is enough to overcome his lack of production on offense but I guarantee it will factor in on Joe Gibbs' final roster decisions. CPstretch
i dont even think taylor will be cut. if any of those guys do, it would be him, but after how thin we were last year, i could see him keeping him just in case. does he play special teams? skns4life
I want to keep Jacobs for just one more year...not that he'll do much anyway being that the highest he could be on the depth chart would be #4...But I have the sick feeling that when he goes to another team, he'll finally start producing. VAsBeachBoy
I think we should keep them all... I love trash and his team first attitude and special teams. Taylor doesn't do much of anything but he still has one more year (his last contract year) in my opinion. When you draft someone you hold on to em till you cant any longer. Worst case scenario Moss and Lloyd go down. Theres Jacobs chance to show something, that and preseason of course. If he lights it up in preseason somehow I say we trade him though if we can get something like a second or third. He'll probably get lots of playtime there. Patten will be a great number four or three and should work out with the timing route offense. The other three no comment necessary.
DWinzit
I don't remember Jacobs doing much on special teams. The knock on him going into last year was he needed to step up and play ST since he wasn't a starter.
