Crazyhorse1
The hammer has finally fallen. Fitz has indicted Karl Rove in the most devastrating blow to the Bush administration thus far. Rove will resign this week when the official annoucement is made. A second jolt to the administration is the inclusion of material from Vice President Cheney's office that throws a negative light on the Vice President's conduct as well. Thus far, Bush has lost the following cabinet members, top officials, etc. through scandals, hostility, etc. Ag Sec Ann Veneman Education Rod Paige Enegy Sec Spence Abraham Pres Sec Scott Mc Clellan Att Gen John Ashcroft Commerce Sec Don Evans Sec of Treasure Paul H. Barney B
Not to worry. All the people responsible for this indictment will be forced to resign in disgrace, just as soon as the incriminating photographs are leaked.

Not Likely Find the last 3 threads that Sarge didnt return to? ohhh and: The defense attorney said he has five witnesses who will testify that Wilson told them his wife worked for the CIA. The defense team believes such testimony will show that her status was well-known. (its bloggable also)... CNN Headline news said he's facing perjury charges and talked about Cheney's scribbles on a Wilson column in the Washington Post...

diesel22
Powell is hostile to the Bush administration because of the bad intel he was fed for the UN speach...calls it the lowest point of his career. Misunderstood it as an attack on Powell personally Although I am a conservative, and at times grow weary of the national sport of "Bush Bashing" -- at least people sometimes come up with a coherent argument as to why they think he is satan. And.....again, as a card-carrying conservative.......I have my own issues with the man (I am hardly a blind backer of the Bush administration) However, Colin Powell is unquestionably one of America's contemporary heroes. He has shown an abundance of character throughout his career while dealing with situations that most Americans would run from.

Here's a guess: that one party I might someday believe in (if I'm insane) probably won't consist mostly of white devils who have murdered over thirty million of my people since 1492 and practice ritualistic cannabalism/vampirism of their Lord in churches in the present as well as in the near past threw jews into ovens and blacks into slavery. Sarge
Powell is hostile to the Bush administration because of the bad intel he was fed for the UN speach...calls it the lowest point of his career. SO Powell, having been teh Chairman of the Joints Chiefs, was unable to obtain and/or draw conclusions about intel. How did the man ever get to be a four star general? But, I didn't see anything about 5 witnesses outing the wife. All I saw this morning was the Cheney connection to this, including notes on a op-ed piece by Wilson that Cheney took notes on. As far as Rove is concerned, the 5 witnesses are irrelevant. The charges against him are lying to investigators and lying to the grand jury, not treason. It's not clear yet whether or not he's also been charged with obstruction of justice. I think only an obstruction of justice conviction would result in an automation jail term.
