stwasm
I attended Saturday's WNBA pre-season game between the Washington Mystics and Houston Comets at the Verizon Center and had a chance to meet Chubby Checker. The Comets drafted his daughter, Mistie Williams, out of Duke last month and Mr. Checker was there to see her play. Actually, I saw him in the lobby of the arena, but I didn't think it was him and I didn't want to embarrass myself. Later, I heard someone talking and pointing him out in the stands. At that point, I decided to approach him. He told me that he didn't want to do pictures because it would start a whole bunch of people coming up to see him when he just wanted to relax. I totally understood that and just said, "No problem." He was nice about and I really couldn't blame him. About 10 minutes later, I hear a whistle. I look up and he signals for me to come to him. He allowed me to have the picture taken, but we did it discreetly. He told me that he "wouldn't be able to sleep" if he didn't let me do it. I thanked him and he was very gracious. Below are the pictures of him and his daughter. Enjoy!

When the second coming happens, we're going to get a post like this from stwasm: I met Jesus Christ today. He seemed like a really good guy. Here are some pictures of me and him at Starbucks in Vienna...

Mr. Nostril
Who the hell is Chubby Checker? I never heard of this fool. What's the matter with these kids today, and why are they older than me? I'm not actually sure you're older than me since we're both 23, but I just turned 23 twelve days ago(May 2). So, there's about a 97% chance that you're older. Kosher Ham
Guess I need to start taking more photos. Grinning ear to ear. Cool pics bro. Congrats, they seem like cool people (which most celebrities are). Advice to folks who never met famous people. Dont act like you are in awe, just make it casual, honest, and respectful. They seem to appreciate that.
