bbuzz1962
Hey guys, I appreciate the work you men have here at Extremeskins, trying to be fair, allowing people to post threads they feel are related to the team. This is just a suggestion, but I think it's time to stop allowing Lavar Arrington threads in The Stadium. The Tailgate is the ideal forum for these threads now that he is a NY Giant. After that last interview he had on ESPN, he doesn't deserve the honor of being discussed here The Stadium where the best fans in the world dissuss Washington Redskins, and related topics, not the NY Giants. To disgrace a hall of fame coach, and say that he had to "cover" for him, like he didn't know what he was doing, was the worst statement I have ever heard from anyone who knows anything about professional football. I don't want this thread discussed, just viewed, so LOCK IT DOWN as soon as possible, and let the members be reminded that there are several forums here, and they should be used accordingly.:gaintsuck
Big Weirdo
Actually the Around the NFL is the appropriate section for good old Lavar. I haven't seen an LA thread in a while though.

But I'm not the only member here bbuzz - its not just about my personal feelings. There are many many here who DO want to read about and comment on the latest Arrington drama. So we have been more generous in leaving a lot of this stuff in the Stadium than we might be inclined to be. And on a practical note, whats happened in the past is that we move the Lavar stuff to the 'Around the NFL' forum - but folks don't bother looking there, don't see the same item in the Stadium, and repost it. Repeat x 20 or 30 times. So it becomes an exercise in futility for staff in moving and merging all this stuff. This won't go on forever, eventually even the most romantic among us will lose interest in all-things-Arrington, and it will cease to be a concern. Stew
:blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: More then No more LA threads, we need no more "This is what I think, This is what I want" threads in the Stadium. ghost exits
I'm not a Lavar fan. But any way you cut it, he is an ex-Redskin. Art Monk didn't play his last game in the NFL as a Redskin. Neither did Brian Mitchell - though he retired as a Redskin. Yet it is common sense that we would write and read about them in the Stadium. Leave the Lavar threads be... otherwise, we enter the tricky territory of trying to referee from on top who deserves to be covered in the Stadium and who doesn't, and this site seems best suited staying above that kind of judgmental thing and letting the users dictate what feels most natural to them... also, if you disagree with the sentiment above, at least there is currently an obvious connection to the Redskins in recent Lavar threads, in that Lavar is talking some smack specifically about the Redskins... if the thread were about Lavar showing up late for a Coughlin meeting, nothing to do with the Redskins, then I would agree it is not the kind of thread that should be in the Stadium... but, to take it a bit away from Lavar and to make things more crystal clear, if Fred Smoot "guaranteed" a victory against the Redskins, or degraded the Redskins in the weeks preceding the first game of the season, - where a direct connection to the Redskins is being made - I feel there would be threads in the Stadium about Smoot, and that it would feel right to most people... finally, let's not act like Lavar... seems petty, or reactionary, to pay too much mind to whether he deserves threads or not in the Stadium... treat him and his Redskins non-legacy like water under the bridge... pay it, or those who want to trudge through it, no mind... rick1796
i agree that ex-redskin type articles should be in the stadium. having said that i am suck to death of the freaking lavar articles, but once a player has been a redskin he is forever more a person of note to me. i really think we should just not go into threads with the word "lavar" in the title and then most of this would go away naturally. . like the dinosaurs, dodo bird, and flock of seaguls. yes i know i am not currently following my own advice. . ok that's it going cold turkey

Tom [Giants fan]
I have been here since almost the beginning of extremeskins. The mods here do a great job and know what they are doing. I know they don't need me to tell them how to run this place nor would I ever try. Maybe we should all do the same. Just a suggestion. I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do.
