bedlamVR
Seems pretty fair. I thought the boys lost more than they gained this offseason on offence at least and they folded like cheep lawn furniture last year down the stretch with the playoffs in sight but hey what do I know . I do think the G-Men are posied for a decent run and the Seahawks took a major hit with loosing Hutch off that line but in my oppinion they should have tendered him at the highest level or franchise level I seem to remember him being a transisition tag guy. whitskins
The Giants opening month and a half to start the season is just unfair. I'll be real interested to see how they cope with that brutal stretch of games. I personally didn't think they were all they were cracked up to be last season. They were good no doubt, but I thought they got a lot of good breaks too. If they start the season strong then I will gladly eat my words.
Guest santana4prez
I see the Skins and Boys as the best 2 teams in the NFC but the Giants can easily make a run this year. 4 of the 5 top teams are NFC East teams by Yahoo and in my opinion anyone of them can win it. I say my top 16 would go like this....... 1. Redskins 2. Cowboys 3. Giants 4. Seahawks 5. Falcons 6. Panthers 7. Cardinals 8. Bucs 9. Eagles 10. Bears 11. Saints 12. Rams 13. Packers 14. Vikings 15. Lions 16. 49ers
Gilgamesh
Yeah, but didn't Yahoo rank "Disorderlies" as the #1 DVD comedy of all time? Where's the credibility man?
BigRay
I guess I can live with being number 4 well he isn't like some of them a-holes he noticed that we have made some improvements.
PleaseGoForTheWin
I can't believe he has Carolina at #7. Carolina made it to the NFC Championship last year, and even though they lost some good defenders their offense improved quite a bit. No way Dallas is #3 on that list... What indication is there, besides the addition of TO, that Dallas will be any better? They were good last year and they'll be good again this year, but I don't think that they're good enough to win more than 10 games, which is what you have to do to be ranked #3. ntotoro
He also has everyone's perennial post-season favorte Dallas (for whatever reason) at #3, so take that FWIW. I wouldn't take it too seriously, even with us at #4.
Tom [Giants fan]
I really think the NFC East is interchangeable. But I myself wouldn't even put the Giants at 1 right now. The Giants are going to go as far as Eli Manning's development takes them. If he comes even close to what Peyton's development was, than maybe. But to say right now they are 1? I even have doubts. Kurd Cudins
Seeing this makes me feel much better, but a little nervous. Based on yahoo's track record I would prefer to be ranked somewhere around 12. Why? Because yahoo is ALWAYS way off. I love playing their fantasy leagues because so many fools go by the yahoo list, and well, yahoo knows the internet NOT football. Peregrine
ITs a decent ranking. Interesting he has the entire NFC East in the top 5 :-P At least he didnt put the Cowboys at #1. There is no way they can legitimately be a #1 or #2 when they have a very suspect at best Oline, and no strong running game. As for the Giants, the only way you can make the case for them being #1 is to say Eli Manning is going to really solidify himself this year, and that Short and Arrington are going to make a huge difference taking the defense from bottom 10 to top 10. Now, at least Manning is a realistic case to make, I can buy that. But Arrington and Short taking the defense from bottom to the top? Heck no, until the Giants get a new DC, their defense is still going to struggle. I myself was really surprised to see Carolina at #7. I would have figured they would be anywhere from #1 to #3. I think your defense will be better than last year, but if Eli can't get it done it won't matter. I have the Giants fighting with Philly for the number two spot in the NFC East. Edit: To add to the thread, Seattle should be one until someone knocks them off.

Look at the LB'ers that were playing that game compared to the one's who will be playing for the Giants when the season starts. From what I've heard, Eli's problems the second half of the season were due to injury and fatigue his first year as a starter.

I even have doubts.[/quote']I think everyone in our division has our own set of question marks. We are all talented, physical, teams on defense but all have some things on offense to figure out. Best QB's 1. Philidelphia. Will he hold up with there pass first mentality? He has to be the most talented and most dangerous QB in our league. 2. Washington. He is a proven vet who found a way to have a near Pro bowl year with 2 recievers to thrwo to. NOw he has more like 4 or 5. Will he hold up all year? He is getting older and that is the only reason I doubt his ability to hold up. I still think we have the most solid back ups in our division. 3. New York. Eli has proven he can be somewhat reliable but only if he is protected. He gets jumpy when he see's a rush coming. I don't think he has a chance of being any better than he was last year but we'll see. 4. Dallas. Even though he is a proven vet and had a good year last year. I think he is the most fragile QB in our division. If he doesn't get excellent pass protection he and TO will implode. He has no chance of making a play if the pocket breaks down. If he does get protection he could be number one or two on the list. There back up had a good NFL Europe year, but that means nothing to me. Best RB's !. New York. Tiki proved last year that he was definetley the most all around back. He has the size and quickness to be a great again. Let him fumble early on and it could be back to the same old Tiki. I don't think he is the toughest mentally but he is physically. He also seemed to make people tackling him look like fools. I still can't figure out if it was bad tackling or him. A little of both I guess. They also have Brandon Jacobs who was impressive before his injury early in the season. 2. Washington. Portis could easily be number one on the list but I didn't want to seem bias and Tiki still had a better year bthan him last year. Portis is younger, tougher, and quicker so he has years to re gain the number one spot. Saunders will also use Portis better than Gibbs did the previous years. Our back ups could also put us in the number one spot. Anyone sleeping on Ladell Betts is crazy. He has been a steady backk up for years and could start for several teams. His hands are great and he can Return Kicks. If he got a little faster and broke a couple more tackles he would be unstoppable. THen you have Rock who is good third stringer. 3. Philidelphia. Westbrook is defintely a weapon but we have yet to see him be a true running back. He might not be able to take the load but he is still considered a weapon. Moats has potential but he is another Westbrokk type of running back. They really need a physical back because Buckhalter will not be good enough. 4. Dallas. Julias Jones was rumored to be traded and he had one good year. He will have to prove a lot of people wrong next yera for him to jump to the number three spot. I don't think he will ever be better than third in our division. Marion Barber had agood year last year for no one even knowing who he was. Dallas could esily be number three because they actually run the ball unlike Phili. WR's 1. Dallas. I had to give them something better than the last spot. Plus TO is TO.The gift and the curse. Terry Glenn is also aprefect compliment to him. They are the only two worth mentioning but could be the best. It comes down to protection and there running game though. 2. Washington. Moss proved last year it wasn't a fluke and he is a weapon. Adding Lloyd, ARE, and having Patten healthy could make them the best WR core on the NFC. If Brunell stays healthy and no serious injuries happen to the WR's they will have more yards in the air than Dallas. 3. New York. Burress is a beast. Toomer is has great hands and is solid. Adding Mini Moss might help them too. 4.Philidelphia. Reggie Brown and Gaffney will be alright together. They just don't have many options after that. Mcnabb will constantly have to pull a rabbit out of his hat. I was bored so I felt like showing how I feel about the NFC East next year on offense. Like I said we all have solid Defenses so I won't bother breaking them down by position but I'll give a short list. 1.Washington 2.Dallas 3.Philidelphia 4.New York Do you agree or disagree? The NFC East is back.

Birdlives
1. NY giants 2. Redskins 3. cowboys 4. eagles Until we take that title away, the giants won the division last year. How about we keep the teams ranked same as last year's regular season finished until we win it back. As for yahoo sports, to make any kind of point using yahoo sports is just incredibly stupid. See this was an argument I had last season The Skins go 5-1 in the division the Giants 4-2, The Skins go 10-2 in the conference, the Giants 8-4, yet they win the NFC East because they had a better record against AFC teams  I know it is an "if"... but if the Skins hadn't been screwed in Tampa the first game, they would have been not only NFC East Champs, but a higher playoff seed than the Giants were.
