H-O-G
Okay, searched no thread so I'm just letting you know Lavar is acting pretty ****y. It sounded like he was indirectly dissing Joe Gibbs and our coaching staff, post you're comments on the interview in here.
H-O-G
Lavar is trying to explain how he is not a freelancer and how he was watching his highlights with the redskins and saying to the audience "How could they not play me? I dont know...I was productive in preseason and productive in practice" This is getting funny I wish Stephen A. Smith would pull up the film of when Lavar missed the gaps to give up those 40+ yard runs EDIT: finished his interview saying Eli Manning would be the MVP

D'Pablo
Mr. Nickels is a retard. First he says the team isn't willing to pay him then blames the media for him getting a bad rep. Again, I can't wait to boo him in Fed Ex.
playboy1972
LaVar look like he weighs 300 pounds. He needs to lay off the cold cuts. I mean doesn't he look like Jumpy Geathers or something.
ParcellsWearsDiapers
As a fan, I feel slighted by LaVar. All of that natural ability, and all he ever did was come into the league as a prima donna. Think it's a coincidence that we finally make the playoffs after leaving him to rot on the bench for less talented but more team oriented players? I think not. We cheered hard for LaVar. Even after he dumped on the team with all his whining about coming back from injury too soon and whining about the coaches and whining about his contracts. Well, LaVar, you have messed with the wrong fans. We will never forgive you for not appreciating what it's like to be a Redskin. We will never forgive you for not living up to your status as the second pick in the draft. We will never forgive you for being careless with all of the injuries. We will never forget how you dumped on the team after leaving. You say Eli will be MVP? Well, let's see how you fare in your own division next year. Let's all join in and boo LaVar like he's never heard a boo before. The only highlight you are going to be in is the hilight of you taking off your helmet while Clinton Portis runs right past you because you don't cover the part of the field that you are supposed to. Hail to the Redskins!!!!!

rm8899
i think you need to calm down with the sermon about LA because honestly in all the loosing seasons we had with him he never (at least publicly) disregarded or bashed the team. He was the face of the skins during our loosing seasons and gave me a reason to watch and attend the games.
Guest santana4prez
2 threads on this subject. I posted in the 2nd thread so let me repeat my post on Lavar Arrington..... NO wait **** this. Lavar Arrington just got done talking **** about Joe Gibbs. Now im pissed I really think I hate LA more than any player ever. I use to love the guy before his BS of the 6.5 million but him talking **** about Joe Gibbs saying "Gibbs never really wanted me" and "I was never one of Gibbs guys". Thats bull**** and Arrington is just pissing off Skins players more by running his mouth. I remember when Gibbs first cameback and it was a great day then that night I see an interview with LA. He acted like it was no big deal. **** Lavar Arrington and I hope we whip his ass in 2006. I hate the Cowboys the most but I hate LA more than any Cowboy player. I hope Cooley catches a pass off a LA freelance and while LA is chasing him Sellers pops him in the mouth like he did Dawkins last season.

If my former bosses did something that to me (even if I deserved it) I'd say mean things about them and fault them too after I moved on. First of all LA left Washington after we gave him a chance to stay. Lavar just talked **** about a HOF coach. A coach that gave him every chance to be great. If LA would of not ran his mouth about his contract and then gotten hurt the last 2 years maybe he would of been a better player. Oh wait he freelances on every play and dosent listen to his bosses. If your boss told you do go do something and you went somewhere else dont you think the employee is at fault? LA just didnt rehab his injury enough and was out of shape. If you got hurt on the job and had to rehab would you slack around and keep asking for a raise? Would you rather be with your team on the field or in a suite away from them. He said he covered for the head coach. I think it was the other way around.

Hes just trying to play up his rep after spending one year on the bench...even if you dont like it...and if that involves talking smack about his old boss so be it, I'd probably do it too....realize that he is no longer a redskin and loyality does not exist, its all about the $$$$$, just stop taking it so personally. Maybe he can be like a man like Joe Gibbs is. Gibbs never ran his mouth about Lavar Arrington. Actually all Joe Gibbs ever did was talk good about LA. LA taking personal shots on TV shows he has no class and is a piece of ****. I listen to every members opinion but no offense I do take it personal. I have taken it personal since 2004 when LA stopped being a player and started being a crybaby *****. Talking **** about Joe Gibbs just made it more than personal. whitskins
Usually when an ex-player talks some trash about the Skins I get upset. Sometimes I get really upset. Not so with Lavar. Honestly, the guy hasn't done enough for this team, at least in the last two years, for me to give a hoot what he's saying to no talent ass clowns like Stephen A. Smith. I remember being extremely upset at Champ Bailey's comments when he left. When Pierce and Smoot left I was also looking very closely for anything they had to say about the Skins. When Coles left town my blood pressure sky rocketed every time I heard him mention our team. With Lavar, I really don't care. He's just another guy on another team. Last year he was a two down LB who was routinely blocked by RBs and recorded ZERO sacks. So much for the QB Killa. His attitude was also atrocious, and got progressively worse as the season went on. And if the guy comes back and becomes a "beast" as so many seem convinced that he will, good for him, he would have still been overpaid on this team even if he made multiple Pro Bowls. Either way he had to go or this team wasn't going to be able to improve. I don't have any bad feelings about the guy, mostly because I don't think he'll be missed on the field at all. GW and company are going to plug the hole like they always do and we'll be just as strong a defense, if not stronger, once again next year. Until then Lavar can have all the stupid talk shows he wants. It just amuses me that even though he has a new team he can't seem to move past his old one... D'Pablo
I think of it like this: Arrington was a Redskin when being a Redskin had no meaning. Of course he was the face of the franchise at one point. We were losers back then. The only thing that's changed is that we're winning now. Arrington is still, by all accounts, a loser.

Just pointing out that your description of LaVar being a Redskin when "being a Redskin had no meaning" and "being the face of the team when we were losers" applies to one Sonny Jurgensen as well. So I don't really see your point about LaVar. When healthy, he was a great player for us (no matter how hard the crybabies try and rewrite history) and he's now no longer on our team. Let it go people. Let it go.
IBleedBurgundy&Gold1369225669
There are going to be some sorely disapointed Redskins fans come the next couple years... Will see Pedigree. We are going to turn the giants into Dog food. Okay that didn't make much sense but It sounded funny in my head. We'll see in a couple months. There is no way we sit here and regret him not being on the team. i think you need to calm down with the sermon about LA because honestly in all the loosing seasons we had with him he never (at least publicly) disregarded or bashed the team. He was the face of the skins during our loosing seasons and gave me a reason to watch and attend the games. I thought that sermon was right on. How many players bash there team while there on it? Not many. He wanted his money from Snyder and waited to show his true feelings he had about the Redskins this whole time. I would of rather had him be honest and explain why he disliked us while he was here. If he had agood enough reason I would support him. I have read all the articles about him and the orginazation arguing over a few million dolars and that is petty to me. He would of made all that money and more if he would of stayed focused on playing football. He should get booed just like any other ex player. The only execption to this are players like Art Monk. We traded him to the Jets and if he got booed that would be different story. People don't boo classy players. Lavar was never a true leader except for a year or two. He was a hell of a player years ago but I haven't considered him a leader of our team in years. You can be the best player on a team without being a leader. As that other post said...you need to seriously relax...I mean what do you all expect him to say, "I deserved to be benched"?? Grow some thick skin I know he isnt Joe Gibbs. LA is a player who has screwed over this team since 2004. I dont expect him to act like Joe Gibbs. Im not going to treat LA with respect after he just lied on National TV like he did. Actually most of the Redskins and the Giants for that matter are classy players. Maybe Tiki needs to sit LA down and talk to the overweight man. Id grow thick skin but this is a message board. If a player bad mouths my coach after all LA did was act like a jackass for the last 2 years im going to talk some **** on a Redskins message board. What do you want me to do say LA isnt here so he can say whatever he wants? Maybe as long as an idiot like Stephen A. Smith lets LA talk lies about a HOF coach on ESPN but on a message board I can run my mouth back about the player. Thats what this board is for. By the way the only reason Stephen A. Smith acted like he believed LA was because Smith reports for Philadelphia. BOTTOM LINE maybe you can be nice about a player who talked **** about our coach who gave that player (if you can call LA that) every chance to succeed. Me im going to call a LA a ***** and a dumbass. If you dont like it then I guess you know how I feel about LA now. Kind of like Sonny Jurgensen huh?And no, I'm not trying to compare LaVar to Sonny in terms of "Redskins Great". Just pointing out that your description of LaVar being a Redskin when "being a Redskin had no meaning" and "being the face of the team when we were losers" applies to one Sonny Jurgensen as well. Let it go people. Let it go. When healthy he freelanced and cost as many games as we won. No offense I mean I dont like Jurgensen either but comparing them makes no sense. Sonny Jurgensen gave it everything he had on the field for this team. Lavar Arrington screwed it all away. When you say "no matter how hard the crybabies try and rewrite history" I hope you arent talking about Skins fans who are upset with Lavar. If you act like the fans here are crybabies maybe you need to go to a Giants board and sign up and trade in your Burgundy & Gold for their ****ty colors. I dont think im a crybaby if im pissed that a guy just lied about Joe Gibbs on National TV. If any Redskin fan still defends Lavar Arrington after what he just said then maybe you need to look at the facts. Im not rewriting history im telling it like it is. Something Stephen A. Smiths program says to do but then just agrees with a bum who he knows is wrong. I guess he has to kiss up to the Philadelphia fans so they buy his ****ing newspapers. The fact is for the last two years Lavar continued his freelancing while ****ing about his contract and being hurt the last 2 years with a ****ty rehab schedule. He was out of shape when he got back and he blames Joe Gibbs for everything since 2004. Breaking News it was LAs fault and not anyone elses. I had gotten over it and was happy he signed with the Giants so the Skins can make plays off his freelances twice a year. I am pissed off because he ran his mouth on National TV so he can look like a victim.
