diesel22
I wanted to take this opportunity (and my 1500th post) to assure to my fellow ES members that I will strive to be a kinder, gentler, more PC Diesel in the future. No more Wild spring break, country concert, party cove, mardi gras....ok, ok..........stories. No more callous, demeaning, or otherwise offensive remarks........ talk show host
hailredskins.com has a "hospitality forum" where people can congratulate eachother on their milestones like this. that would be great if we had something like that here. Except we could have a "ego" forum because here it seems most people like to start threads congratulating themselves on every hundred posts they make. (And for clarification, i'm not saying that MOST ES members create these stupid self-congratulatory threads. I'm saying MOST of the threads of this nature, are people congratulating themselves on their own longevity here, as opposed to other forum members noticing a milestone and wanting to acknowledge it)

talk show host
For the record, I'm not trying to be overly mean to you diesel. I make a smart-@$$ remark to everyone who posts these type of threads. I'm just waiting for Art to get 50,000 and make a thread for it. I wonder what they'll do to me when i'm equally sarcastic and obnoxious to him? Will i mysteriously disappear in the middle of the night never to be seen again?

diesel22
Not exactly sure what to say in response to the direction this thread has taken except 1) I truly don't look at 1500 posts as any sort of milestone. Just seems like every time someone reaches a new avatar it is customary to start a themed thread -- so I did. 2) This honestly was a heartfelt apology to those who i may have offended in prior posts (well, ok, maybe not everybody, but at least 90%). I see that most members talk about either thanking members like I did for my 1,000th or telling fans hey "im going to do this" like this thread is about. I dont see members who make these threads gloating or being ****y because they have X amount of posts. Threads like these are telling ESkins members something about the past, present, or future not gloating. Now if you say hey maybe these threads shouldnt be in the stadium maybe you are right but to keep saying self-congratulating is a little off. These threads arent about the guy with a certain amount of posts its about a member giving back to the board and thanking them. Just say Congrats and move on or dont go in the thread at all if you dont like the thread instead of causing problems. You posting just moved this thread back to the top of the list and it only makes your problem worse.

You mean someone actually gets it and he/she is only 18 yrs old ? :jump: Looking back, had I known this would be received as it has been by the majority or people on here, I certainly wouldn't have taken the time to do it. However, for those of you who were able to see what I was trying to do, thank you. And for those who used this as yet another attempt to immediately mock, criticize, and/or judge........well, can't say as that I was surprised. :2cents: PS -- I do genuinely apologize for this thread being in the stadium. I was in a hurry to get it up before I left the house and it totally slipped my mind when I posted it.
