The 12th Commandment
Some pretty nice stripers. 20+ lbs I'm guessing. I always wondered wether they taste better caught out of the ocean (I would think they do). Ours are stocked and they get big but they don't taste so good. drums and skins
Were you part of any of the 3 tournaments going on this weekend? My father has a boat at the Breezy Point marina. It was a very good weekend for everyone it seemed...they caught lots of big fish, including a 40-something pounder. That was dinner tonight
Gallntfox
3 days of Northeast winds and fishing later in the season screwed us this year...fish were smaller than in previous years. All caught were between 33 and 36 inches and around 16-17lbs. Last year we had several in the mid 40 inch range and much heavier but it was a great day out there nontheless.... I had grilled rockfish for dinner tonight and it was very good...
drums and skins
Oh...I missed the "today" part of the post's title Yea, Rod'n'Reel docks were a mess...they didn't have hardly any room to dock up to get official weigh-ins. I heard there was only one dock do do so... oh well, the bay is providing fish... I'll be sick of eating it in a couple weeks.
Capt Rich Fla
At a boy. Nice fishing trip. I hope you tipped your mate. "The work is hard, the pay is low, so tip your mate before you go."I especialli like the fact that you took the young one fishing. It's something they will never forget, and it gets them off the play station for a few hours too. :applause:
