Big Weirdo
I have a friend who had pretty bad acne. He started taking some sort of homeopathic remedy and suddenly his face seems much clearer. He swears he didn't use anything to help other than the homeopathic meds. Does anyone think this stuff really works?

HailYeah
Oh it works. Believe me, as the son of the former Director of the Office of Alternative Medicine at the NIH, I do in fact "believe in it." Not to drop names or anything. There's plenty of studies that demonstrate that it indeed works. There are not so many studies that show exactly how it works, at least scientifically. But progress is being made in that field everyday. As we learn more about how it works, therapies are becoming more effective. However, don't believe anybody who says that only alternative therapies like homeopathy work. Those people are eco-maniacs who dont trust conventional medicine, or more often, doctors. Scientific research is pointing more and more often to a blend of both alternative and conventional medicine as the best method for healing. twa
Curry powder and mustard are both proven to help prevent acne. There are many natural cures, however it would not be wise to rely soley on them

Mr. S
ayurvedic is preventive medicine the medicine a normal doctor uses is to cure something after the problem (you get a cold, cancer, whatever) not sure exactly how homeopathy works, but I would try it. Prolly less harsh than conventional methods, may not be as strong initially, but apparently is better for the long run as well.
