dcsmooth
Hear me out: 2005 Season - Considering how it appeared that the refs made a lot of bad calls against us, should it be necessary, during the off- season, for the Skins to have a meeting with the refs concerning the 2006 season? What are your thoughts?
hokie4redskins
Is that even allowed? That would set a dangerous precedent that the NFL Referee Union wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.
SkinsNoles21
yea im sure the Redskins can do that, call up the refs, hey maybe we can even pay them some loot to have some calls go our way this year!!!!
MRMADD
What a great idea! Now why don't we have a conference with opposing fans to keep them from booing us?
Xameil
I thought the refs already did something like that so they could better explain the new rules to them. If they don't, then they should.
TK
What a great idea! Now why don't we have a conference with opposing fans to keep them from booing us? Nah. Instead, lets' have a conference with Dallas to them that Parcells is fat.
onedrop
the refs pretty much sucked all last season. not just against us but all the way around.
Califan007 The Constipated
What exactly would that accomplish??...Do you really think the refs are gonna say "Gosh, we'll try harder this season, Mr. Gibbs!"..??
phishisthegreatstuff
That wouldn't do much, but I think i remember hearing something about the reffs going around to every team to discuss new rules changes and to discuss how there gonna be calling things that year. skinsn24
and i am not reffering to the non catch in the endzone, as that was the correct call. I was talking 50 dollar bets from my naysayer friends. Im talking about lavar fumbling after his INT and Marcus being down before "fumbling" the ball right to ST

(I'm assuming the word "fumbling" was in quotes for that reason)....as for MW not being down when recovering Williams' fumble, there were nothing but Redskins around him, except for Williams who was reaching out with his leg to touch MW while he was down...but he didn't touch him, no whistle blew because of it, so he wasn't down. ouvan59
According to this board the refs cost us 6 victories last year (7 if you include the playoffs). They were also responsible for our 11 victories if you take a look around our opponents boards.

Peregrine
After every game the team sends their "bad calls" to the league office(or officiating office), and then gets a response from them on it. Outside of that, there is no other course of action allowed.
DiscoBob
What a Great idea......when they come to Redskins park, maybe Danny can have them kidnapped and then replaced with realistic robots that he can control from his owners box......... This thread is full of great ideas!!!:nutkick:
Blondie
I don't think the other NFL teams would allow this EVEN IF IT WERE REMOTELY legal. If it were legal, EVERY TEAM would have the refs come in for some "in-service." Blondie
robotfire
hey just remember, we got screwed in the first tampa game but they gave it all back in the nextGave it back!?!?! HE DIDN'T CATCH IT! YOU CAN EVEN SEE CARLOS ROGERS' HAND GET IN THERE AND KNOCK THE BALL AWAY!!As for the Lavar fumble, the play was called dead... happens all the time. You can't really complain about that, because it happens constantly. Not a bad call by the refs, just a natural part of football. Clint Edit: Oh, I should have read a little further along... You pointed out that you weren't talking about the catch, so my yelling was unnecessary. As for the fumble from Washington, I think that's ridiculous. Nobody purposefully fumbles in the NFL. Lombardi's_kid_brother
I'm sure the way to get the refs on your side is to call them to a meeting and chastise them. I'm also sure that the league office, their union representation, and 31 other teams would have no problem with this.
LD0506
It's unanimous- a bogus idea but wouldn't you like to see some action taken by the league to improve the quality of officiating? I can sympathize with anyone that is concerned about this considering how abysmal it was last year, not just us but leaguewide.
