Create your ultimate Rock/Metal Supergroup

The idea of the rock/metal supergroup has been around for a while. Groups like Damn Yankees, Velvet Revolver, and Brides of Destruction were all created with the idea of combining some of the best musicians, (or most popular) on their instruments together, to create some awesome music. Some have succeeded like Velvet Revolver, and some have been less than memorable like Damn Yankees. Here's your chance to put together your ultimate supergroup. Mine would be.

Vocals: David Coverdale (Whitesnake, Deep Purple)

Lead Guitar: Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen)

Bass Guitar: Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath)

Drums: Neil Peart (Rush)

Let's have some fun!! Let's see who can come up with the craziest combination of musicans.

Wow, what would THIS band have sounded like. A fusion of the guys that created "Zero Signal" "Gettysburgh" "Creeping Death" and "Erotomania" together. About as eclectic as them come.

Vocals - Geddy Lee (Rush) or Freddie Mercury (Queen, RIP)

Guitar - John Petrucci (Dream Theater)

Rhythm Guitar - James Hetfield (Metallica, very underrated as rhythm guitar in my opinion due to Kirk Hammet being lead, plus their relative suckage as of late)

Bass - Steve Harris (Iron Maiden)

Drums - Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater)

Keyboards - Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish)

Vocals: Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes)

Guitar: Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin)

Drums: Carter Beauford (Dave Matthews Band)

Bass: Adam Clayton (U2)

Rhythm Guitar: Rich Robinson (The Black Crowes)

Carter Beauford would be a terrible metal drummer... He's all about smoothness and finesse... I don't think he has the agression (or the tuning of his drums, for that matter) to have a metal sound on the kit.

Vocalist: Brad Delp (Boston) or the guy from Iron Maiden who I forget at the moment.

Guitarist 1: Kerry King (Slayer)

Guitarist 2: Jimmy Page (Led Zepplin)

Bass: Steve Harris (Iron Maiden)

Drums: Danny Carrey (Tool)
