Prosperity
The new RHCP album came out (as in leaked), and if you have gotten it could you post your opinion on it? Everything they make is great so I will be surpirsed to see any negatives, but still is it worth the money?

zoony
I have every album they've ever released, and many on vinyl as well. I also have an extensive bootleg collection of shows they did back in their EMI days, and a lot of their singles and assorted imports. Needless to say, even if they were to release a turd in a case, I'd buy it. ..

Ditto. They've been around for a long time, reinvented their sound a few times, and never disappointed me.
chaos
I forgot what radio station it was, but they had the chili peppers in studio one night earlier this week promoting the new album, so they played like seven or eight songs off of it.... they all kicked ***! Posse81
It's getting rave reviews. I don't care much for the earlier stuff, but love the last two albums. Really looking forward to hearing it.
Spaceman Spiff
Listening to it now and i really like it. Great album so far. Also didnt know it was two discs!
Posse81
Updated. I have been listening to this album non stop for the last week. Deserving of the hype. I don't really have the urge to skip any of the 28 tracks. Favorite so far: Wet Sand.

drums and skins
BloodSugarSexMagik is still what I would call one of the most 'solid' albums ever released and is still one of my favorites. How does this one compare to it?
EersSkins05
The album is more like Californication than Blood/Sugar, IMO. It's going to stand up on its own merit for a long time though. I can legitimately say that there's about 14 songs on it that I really like.
zoony
Great effort! :point2sky It is refreshing to know that the concept of an album is not dead. With so many bands releasing one or two quality singles and filling up a CD with assorted garbage... hearing an album you can play start to finish is indeed refreshing. Great effort from them! (as usual) ....
Rocky21
Zoony, You're bringing the music themed threads back from the dead today! I've heard some of the new chili peckers. I like Wet Sand, Hey and Charlie the best so far. I'm gonna go see 'em live in a couple of weeks at Pimlico. RHCP, the Who, Gnarls Barkley, The Killers, Thievery Corporation, Drive By Truckers, the Raconteurs, Flaming Lips, Scissor Sisters, Wolfmother, etc. etc. Why aren't more people hyped for this show? Spartacus87
I just got it myself, great album, as usual from them- my favorite songs though are probably "Snow (Hey Oh)," "She's Only 18," and "Tell Me Baby."
