D'Pablo
We're going into this season with analysts most likely having us ranked dead last in the division again. It's great. Take a look: Dallas: They got TO, some o-lineman from the jets, and the "world-beater" Bobby Carpenter. Philadelphia: Had the greatest draft ever. Nevermind that they lost their most productive DT over the past few years (Hollis Thomas), and Artis Hicks (whom I thought was their best lineman coming off the bench). McNabb and company are all coming back, too. Plus they lost their o-coordinator and primary weapon (TO), so they're definately gonna kill us all. Giants: C'mon man... they got friggin' LaVar Arrington (the next LT!), Sinorice Moss (more productive and talented than his brother), and all their linebackers are coming back. Lets not forget Sam Madison (32), RW McQuarters (30 in December), and all the first year/rookie corners they got in that secondary. Compare that with what the Redskins have done: Lose their most productive and reliable LB in Arrington, overpay for non-need players like Brandon Lloyd (has he caught an NFL pass?), Antwaan Randle-El (did we need a utility receiver that plays special teams?), Adam Archuletta (a thousand times worse than Ryan Clark, not a team player, and ask St. Louis fans how mean he was toward them), Andre Carter (did they really need another pass rush specialist?), Kenny Wright (the #2 corner on the #6 D? We're really reaching...), O-line depth (we all know that this is where we're stacked), and getting Rocky McIntosh (a future starter at LB, but they need one right now). By the way, who is this Al Saunders they keep touting? The skins will enter this season with a minimal amount of hype thanks to this "deflating" and "underwhelming" draft and having done their FA shopping early on. I think it's great. We get to keep that chip on our shoulder from last year and the pundits will continue to see us as the least in the east. Here's to another playoff (and superbowl) birth. CPstretch
oh man i hope we beat the pants off everybody this year. i think this might be the most talented team gibbs has ever had to work with. throw in al saunders and a draft full of defensive players for williams to work with......oh boy
MRMADD
I don't think we're likely to sneak up on anyone this year. The media won't pick us last -- they may not be smart, but if they got burned last year they won't make the same mistake twice. They'll probably predict a logjam in the NFC East, with each team an equally likely candidate for the top -- and the bottom. And then they'll point out that the Skins great weakness is at the most important position -- the QB. Make no mistake, Parcells won't want to get swept again. Neither will Reid. And the Giants have Lavar, who will definitely want some payback. It's gonna be a tough year in the East. Looks like fun.

[/quote'] I'm gonna disagree. Lavar the next L.T  Are you kidding me? He wasn't even good enough to start for half the year. Sinorice more talented and more productive then Santana  Why don't you go back and check out the stats if you want to talk about productivity. Did Sinorice even have over 500 yards receiving last year? Carpenter is a bum. Looked who he played with. I'll forever call that Alvin Harper syndrome. I know its opposite sides of the ball but it never fails. If you don't get double teamed or attention, you face less competition, you're gonna have a good season. I'm very weary of Manny Lawson for that same reason. Don't get me wrong, the Eagles had an unbelievable draft but I'd still pick the skins as favorites mostly because of G.W and Saunders. Lawrence
Let the Eagles, Giants, and Dallas get all the hype, let our REDSKINS get the wins on the field.:helmet: Only thing I have to say to all the fans of the Cowboys, Giants or Eagles who keep talking their trash about the REDSKINS is...... TALK IS CHEAP!!

michael_33
With the weapons Saunders and Gibbs have to work with,I believe we may average 30 points a game possibly? With the Defensive draft we had and the additions of Arch,Carter and sykes...we are really going to be loaded with hard hitting football players who want to win.....Not prima donna's who care more about their paychecks and interviews! I think we go 5-1 in the division again! The only team that can beat us right now in our division is N.Y. ....That's it!
Peregrine
The cowboys did rightly get ripped for their draft. They failed to draft any players at their biggest need position, Oline. If their Oline continues to play as bad as it has, and it probobly will, they will struggle to make the playoffs. The Eagles had a great draft, but they lack any offensive weapons outside of McNabb. The Giants, yes they added good talent, but they are going to face a vastly different schedule than last year. We wont be picked to finish last in the division, but we certainly do have to play well. TLusby
Great read! The smart people will see this as a Gibbs team! I believe Jansen, Samuels, and Thomas are the only starting players from Spurrier's team, and the defense doesn't have anyone starting from Spurrier. TheGreek1973
In all honesty if we don't get hit by the injury bug no team in the NFC each comes close to us. Minimum 12-4 season, we could go 14-2. Now if we lose a couple of people in the OL, Marcus Washington or ST or either of our CBs to injury or multiple injuries like that then we are in trouble.
