SkinsHokieFan
I remember some Boys fans posting on here after he played 8 games in 2004 saying he was the best RB in the division Looks like the Cowboys are giving up on him already
ArmchairRedskin
Come on. Dallas fans extrapolated his stats out for a full season and he was projected as a top back in the league according to those numbers. I think it was like 1800+ yards and 20-some TD's. You can't trade him. Somebody call JJ and let show him the projections for pete's sake!
Arsenic
Why would they trade away the second best running back in the league?(next to Marion Barber, According to Dallas fans)
Ken
His injury history is what would make them consider it. They also were going to take Maroney, who is a fine back. Then again, it could have just been a motivational ploy for Jones to come out spitting fire this year. You never know with Parcells.
Isifhan
Wasn't LenDale available with their pick in the 2nd?

jrockster21
Wasn't LenDale available with their pick in the 2nd? No...the Titans took him at 45, Dallas picked at 53.
MumboSauce
marion barber III does't look too shabby. but Ken makes a good point...Parcells does things like this at times to send messages to players. Or as said, might be his not being able to say healthy or play through injury . (Jones)
scruffylookin
I remember some Boys fans posting on here after he played 8 games in 2004 saying he was the best RB in the division Yeah I remember that. Julius Jones was a better back than Clinton Portis. :insane: You gotta just love Cowboy fans...................or not.
APBT
Bill will tear that team apart for Jerry Jones bringing TO there.
DiscoBob
I'd trade Jacobs for Jones and their 1st rounder in '07.....
bubba9497
Lenny P confirmed it But the most interesting tailback name that came up in trade speculation was Dallas starter Julius Jones, rumored at one point on Saturday to be headed to the New York Jets http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/index
Ken
Have fun, but the original article stated that the Jets contacted Dallas. Not sure that Dallas was actively pursuing this.
Fred Jones
Have fun, but the original article stated that the Jets contacted Dallas. Not sure that Dallas was actively pursuing this. The skins contacted NE to see if they wanted to trade Brady, but they declined which of course was not a surprise. Teams usually just don't start making phone calls asking about starting players that have a few years left on their contract to see if they are available for a trade without some knowledge that the person might actually be available for a trade. kramdizzle
he is a pretty good starter and a heck pf a good backup. barbver isnt a starter so why would you trade him
HeHateMe
Have fun, but the original article stated that the Jets contacted Dallas. Not sure that Dallas was actively pursuing this. Bingo. The Jets called us. Not the other way around. And just about no one is safe IF the price is right. I'm sure Dallas would listen to offers for Roy Williams or Terence Newman if the price were right. Merely entertaining another teams inquiry about Jones, or any other player is nothing to be concerned about. But leave it to this site to make a mountain out of a molehill. CowboysForLife
Haha wow, everything that happens to the Cowboys gets jumped on by the Redskins fans. How does Julius getting traded have to do with "Bill Parcells ripping the team apart due to the signing of T.O."? Some things I'll never understand...one of them is the average Redskin fan's train of thought..
Skins4481
Please. You Cowboys fans are delusional. If someone called wanting to trade for Clinton Portis, Sean Taylor, Carlos Rogers, Marcus Washington, Cornelius Griffin,(you get the point) the Redskins would tell them to eff off and call the Cowboys. Apparently, they can be had for the right price. Heck, their owner Jerrah took it up the a-hole getting TO.
WeownU
Then again, it could have just been a motivational ploy for Jones to come out spitting fire this year. You never know with Parcells. Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner :applause:
