McIntosh similar to Kendrell Bell....

I think McIntosh will follow in the same footsteps as Kendrell Bell.

McIntosh was picked in the early second round and so was Bell.

Bell started game 1, blitzed often, and benefited from having great guys around him. He went on to win defensive rookie of the year with 9 sacks and 73 tackles.

I think McIntosh, with great guys up front to shed blockers, and guys behind him that will draw attention (Sean Taylor) McIntosh will benefit immensely and will be extremely productive right off the bat in Gregg William's aggressive scheme. I think he'll be in the running for DROY with guys like Hawk, Greenway, Carpenter, and Mario Williams.

Just my prediction.

BTW, a lb usually win defensive rookie of the year...(Merriman, Vilma, barnett were the last 3...

I just want him to be solid in his rookie year. I think G. Williams has done a good job with his defensive rookies so far. Sean Taylor did not start immediately and look at him now. Carlos Rogers was not starting right off the bat and look at him. I think that McIntosh WILL NOT start at the beginning of this year, but will eventually win the starting job by seasons end.

Anybody watch the video of Rocky they have up on the Yahoo draft board? It's like three and a half minutes long, and let me tell you, they save the best highlight for last. ;)

do you have a link?

I think Rocky will have a very good chance at getting DROY. He is an excptionally intelligent LB (I believe his Wonderlick score was a 27). If the wonderlick is worth spit then he should be able to learn and excell in Williams' scheme.

Remember that Williams wanted a LB that can play every down instead of continuing this WLB by committe approach we took last year. The fact that we moved up tells me that he is not confident in Clemons being our everydown WLB and based on Holdman's performance last year I am certain he won't be our guy.

I could see Rocky with 60-80 tackles next year. With the addition of Carter rushing the passer (and hopefully commanding double teams) I also see Rocky getting from 4-7 sacks. (I am trying not to be homeristic in my stat predictions, but it is difficult to see the real world through my B&G glasses)

He looks solid, but I'm a little concerned with his tackling technique. It seemed like he was always falling backwards on his tackles instead of exploding into the player and taking him down. I <3'd the last clip though :)

They just need to let Taylor put on a tackling clinic during training camp and get all these guys up to speed. They can use Taylor Jacobs and Jimmy Farris as tackling dummies....

Well, I'd just like to thank Fox Sports for helping to make him work just that much harder. But, more than that. He's a smart kid (29 Wonderlic is better than most QB's) and he'll pick up the defense in the off season where LA couldn't do it in two full seasons.

I love Sean, but I'd list his tackling technique as a weakness.

I'm very opptimistic about Rocky.
