Big Weirdo
Solely based on his name alone. I'm going to be touting this guy for SEASONS to come. tr1
He's a freakin' rookie. Come back when he does something in the league...until then, he's a rookie.
Westbrook36
Two seasons ago, Gocong was an unheralded nose guard fighting for playing time. But a shift to defensive end in 2004 saw the emergence of the most dominating pass rusher of his era in the NCAA Division 1-AA ranks. Since the NCAA began keeping defensive records in 2000, no other defensive player can match Gocong's 42 quarterback sacks. His performance the last two seasons has drawn considerable praise throughout the collegiate ranks. "Gocong is just so strong and plays so relentless, I can't find anything wrong with his game. He's the Energizer Bunny out there. It doesn't matter if it's snap one or 101; he's always going the same speed. He's one of the most amazing guys I've seen in college football," said Sacramento State coach Steve Mooshagian. ArmchairRedskin
What happened to Stovall? I guess the Iggs don't need no stinking wide recievers, eh?
Brother Redskin
Gocong was a frustrating player to grade this is how just about every player profile on nfl.com seem to start.
Big Weirdo
What happened to Stovall? I guess the Iggs don't need no stinking wide recievers, eh? I have the feeling the Eagles will still get him. Just a hunch. Hope I'm right..
Westbrook36
Stovall is still sitting there. Eagles are 20 picks away. I hope they package a 4th and maybe a 5th to move to the bottom of the 3rd round.

The fact that he hasn't been taken by anyone yet raises a red flag.Edit: NM, you said Tampa just took him?

Westbrook36
You guys are funny...Stovall gone...that must sting. If the Eagles wanted him, he was there for the taking. They chose not to take him. Just because I wanted him doesn't mean he was the best player for the Eagles.
eagles78
I love this pick. He'll be a beast on special teams in addition to the time he gets at SAM.
Westbrook36
He dominated the East West game. Kiper had him as a second rounder. Adds some real size and speed to the SAM position. His measurables are as impressive as all the top DEs/LBs in this draft, minus Hawk and Williams.
ArmchairRedskin
Man, maybe the Iggs figure a healthy McNabb along with Pinkston, Brown, McCants and Westbrook will be enough? Who knows? Me personally, if I were a fan, I'd want them to grab at the very least a decent WR in the draft. I'd also try to pick up a RB to push Westbrook a little. Not some scat back that catches balls out of the backfield, but a guy who can run between the tackles and pick up those third and shorts on the ground. Take some of the pressure off of McNabb. Is Buckhalter coming back? Even if he is, does he bring anything to the table at this point? Are you guys worried about any of that?
OWUeagleMD
So amazing he played D1AA ball!! We have no luck drafting players from 1-AA ball. Brian Westbrook went to Florida State.

Moats and Westbrook are both homerun hitters. For the 6-10 carries available a game for another RB, I'm open to Bruce Perry, a rebounding Correll Buckhalter, or even a 4th-5th round pick. There just isn't much room for a RB. I wanted to see another wideout added, but I do find the insane obsession with wideouts by fans enfuriating. I expect to see another wideout added tommorow, hopefully Demetrius Washington or Jason Avant, or Hank Baskett.

He plays D1AA ball; there are much more amazing guys than him in 1A...:2cents: The Eagles generally have good drafts, so I'm sure this guy isn't going to suck. jrockster21
What does "JOKER" stand for? The Joker position is the NT/MLB hybrid in Jim Johnson's 53 or 46 defense (what Trotter plays), if I'm not mistaken. Something like that...
