Do you all think that there is any chance that Gibbs would go with Campbell over Brunell if Jason is impressive. Gibbs said he hopes that they would not have to give Mark many snaps in preseason and that he could just start from where he left off in 05. I smell a QB controversy.

Brunell will start unless he is injured. Gibbs, I think, just wants to make sure that he gives Brunell some rest and Campbell some much needed experience. Brunell simply does not need the snaps to get ready. Let Brunell be rested and ready for the season to start. I really hope Campbell lights it up in the preseason because that means we are set at QB for years to come. Campbell will get his time. Let's be patient and let Gibbs handle the situation.

No way. Gibbs really likes Mark...... He will not replace him until we have to peel him off the turf.

I agree, but even then I think Collins would probably be put in before JC . He does know saunders offense ,so wouldn't he be the logical choice if that happend?

I doubt that he will start over Brunell with anything short of a perfect passer rating in the preseason, lol. I think this is mostly just another big step in the evolution of Campbell as our future QB, and to help them to be sure that he is ready to be the back-up to Brunell.

Yeah, but JC is the future of this franchise, not Collins. Unless Campbell looks like crap in preseason, smart money's on JC backing up Brunell, not Collins.

i smell the most UNcontroversial QB preseason we have had in years. rumor has it that campbell might not even be the #2 QB but he will have to make alot of improvements just to be our #2. Barring an injury, Brunell is the bonafide starter, and no reasonable person would feel we have a controversy brewing.... atleast not yet. Brunell would have to look awful and Campbell would have to look sexy, and that doesnt appear to be even close to happening.

Brunell will need some snaps, I mean c'mon he will be rusty and he has two new recievers, Patten is back, maybe a new TE and hugely.... a new offensive coordinators plays........I say JG is opening the door a bit....

I think JG in a place in his mind he sees MB fading a bit and thinks JC will be amazing and he wants to see it. I think it is a possibility we have JC starting sooner than we might think.

Collins was brought it to help teach the offense, not to play, he's practically a coach
