RiggoReincarnated
The guy basically doubled his sack total from the 2004 season to 2005 season. How did he do this? This kind of jump is unheard of.
SkinsHokieFan
You want to check his size if he is on something He seems to be undersized and uses his quickness well. You have to run at him Is he on something? No
Ghost of
Huh? What? Huh? It's not 'unheard of' dude. Dude had talent coming out of college but needed to round into pro form, especially since he wasn't from a big time program.

WolfA4
He's just really fast, he's been really fast since his rookie year and showed it when he got a chance to start when Hamilton was injured. You can check his rookie year and see he's always had blazing speed (for a DE)

WolfA4
But if it was speed then how come he did very little before this year? Did you expect him to sack the QB from the sideline? He didn't start his rookie season, and like most players he need to get his bearings straight when he became a full time starter, but the speed and potential has always been there, otherwise Accorsi wouldn't have out right refused to trade him to get Eli, and we all know how high EA was on Eli. I recognized his potential from the 3rd game he ever played, he shot off the LOS like he had a rocket up his ass.
BlueTiki21
The scary thing is, he has claimed after watching film of himself this past year that he still has a lot to learn and knows he can do better.
SouthernCali Skins
don't hate on Osi, just because he is on the Giants. Osi 2003: 1 sack 2004: 7 sacks 2005: 14.5 sacks the reason why you think most people just know of him is because the media does not like losing teams. its really obvious, giants had a 5-11 season when osi had 7 sacks. when you become a media darlin, everyone is overated and overyhyped. but dont be ignorant by posting stupid statements like your thread title

Slateman
He worked hard during the offseason with Michael Strahan. Furthermore, the third year is usually when palyers start to get real good. First two years represent a learning curve and then it clicks towards the end of the second year.

cnhnyy
Geez, not every one can pull a Lights Out season like Merriman did. I mean, I heard LT had zero sack in his first season (gints fans, correct me if it is wrong). I mean, Sanata Moss doubled his receiving yards last season. Could he be on something? pvkeeper19
Talk about a conspiracy theory. Players improve. Deal with it. Also: Geez, not every one can pull a Lights Out season like Merriman did. I mean, I heard LT had zero sack in his first season (gints fans, correct me if it is wrong). That's not entirely true. Sacks were not officially recorded until 1982. Taylor's rookie season was 1981, so his 9.5 "sacks" from that year essentially don't count. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_Taylor#The_NFL_years

Moss doesn't have a position that relies on strength. I think he seriously could be on performance enhancing drugs...you don't just go from 7 to 14.5 sacks in one season. Guest santana4prez
You need to have more proof than just sack numbers. I think you just want to bash the Giants which brings Skins fans down. How can you talk **** about a guy who busted his ass and played well like Osi did last season? Im a diehard Redskins fan but bashing players for no reason is uncalled for. I dont like some of the players on the Giants roster but to talk **** about a guy like Osi just makes you look like you dont know what your talking about. Unless you have proof than this thread is uncalled for.

icewater210
The proof is that nobody has ever gone from 7 to 14.5 sacks in one season before. Well Vanden Bosch went from 4.0 sacks in his first four years to 12.5 last year. Burgess went from 2.5 to 16 in a year

SkinsHokieFan
The proof is that nobody has ever gone from 7 to 14.5 sacks in one season before. That is hardly proof Some factors...towards the end of 2004 the entire Giants d-line was pretty banged up He improved his game, it can happen D-end is much more a technique position rather then strength, D-tackle is more of a strength position Unless he went from 240 to 280 in one offseason, your idea that he is juicing is idiotic
