Number5
No link.... On my lunch (smoke) break, I had a chance to watch Daily News Live on Comcast here in Philadelphia and Sal Pal was doing his weekly segment. He mentioned that McNabb is basically in the Eagles FO faces everyday stating that he wants the team to trade for and sign Walker. Also, he stated that the team has two options depending on what happens through the first 10 picks.... 1 - Stay put and draft Wimbley (OLB/DE Hybrid) from FSU. :applause: 2 - Trade down and draft Mangold the center from Ohio State.
fdarugar
Would Wimbley really fit your scheme? Why would you not want some extra picks and a center to protect your best player?
Number5
Would Wimbley really fit your scheme? Why would you not want some extra picks and a center to protect your best player? In my eyes, a center would be a great pick, but in the 1st Rd, I believe that the team has a more pressing issue on defense. Wimbley is loved by the Eagles FO (Banner and Heckert have both made their feelings known on him). The Eagles scheme is to put as much pressure on the QB and to disguise their coverage. Wimbley has the size to play the run and the speed to rush the passer, but most of all, he is athletic enough to cover the TE's in the NFC East (which has the best TE's overall in the NFL!) I can see him being a perfect fit for this scheme giving them at least in my eyes a younger, faster, more disruptive version of Carlos Emmons, who might I add during his tenor as an Eagles at least in my eyes, was better than any Eagle LB, including Trotter and Barber! Get a Center in the second or third round. The kid from OU should still be around, plus the team still could trade for Faine out in Cleveland. CPstretch
wimbley would NOT be a good fit for the eagles 4-3. he and lawson from nc state are ideal 3-4 OLBs
moondog
Wimbley is a great player, but with Howard and Kearse I don't think it's really a huge deal to get a good rushing linebacker...what you have now isn't too bad. Mangold is probably the best center to come out of the draft in the last 3-5 years. Not saying other centers have become better players, but Mangold is a great leader with great knowledge of the game. Fraley's aging and Mangold is about as good as a college center can be. If they don't get Walker, I'd be surprised to see them not take a shot at Jackson or Holmes at WR.

Walking Deadman
I would think that many teams (especially a pass-first team like Philly) would want a guy like Walker and I bet Mcnabb probably told the FO staff "You owe me after TO"

McNabb lobbied hard for TO, I wouldn't blame their FO for that. If anything, their FO is probably a little more wary of appeasing Donnie boy's WR demands. Birdlives
This has got to be the biggest BS thread ever. No way McNabb plays like such a team guy his whole career and now all of a sudden starts making demands. I dont buy this one bit. This is akin to the guy who saw Lavar at BWI. Yeah, right. I'm sure Lavar would drive 90 minutes to BWI when Dulles is right there. Its because he enjoys the scenery.

Trade Betts and a 6th round pick for Walker 2. Trade Walker to San Diego for Donnie Edwards We need to act fast to block this signing as well as enhance at linebacker. To be honest, in every thread that I have seen that you have responded in, you have added nothing but negativity towards them and in the end you always end up looking like a noodle. I saw it on the T.V. with my own two eyes. For someone with only 34 posts compared to someone of my pedigree up here, I think you should just fall back in your chair and speak when spoken to. But please, for entertainment value continue making yourself look stupid in every thread. It makes at least me feel as though there are truely some clowns hidden among class acts. As for my # of posts, that hardly is a pedigree of any kind. I guess that means people with 10,000 posts are much smarter than you. And its really sad to think you went through the trouble of checking all of my posts just to make this generalized statement about my thoughts. As for clowns, "Isaw it on TV so it must be true" is the calling card for all clowns. :eaglesuck P.S. entertainment is quite a complement, Thanks. The post I made stated that I saw on Daily News Live Sal Pal talking about it....that much I saw. Get it, Sal Pal saw it, he reported it, and I saw that he reported it....clearer for you? And as far as going through all of your posts, maybe, it didn't take too long since their only now 35 of them.... Whats most sad is the fact that you debunk any theroy or truth unless it is something that you agree with. While it is true that everyone has opinions, it seems as if you are intent on making truths or facts or factual statement appear less than they are, in order to make your "truth" be the only one. This isn't Highlander, their can be more than one ya know?
