MidwayMonster31
Ninja Gaiden and Contra are nowhere compared to Battletoads, even with the warps. Super Ghouls n' Ghosts was probably the toughest one I've ever played.
iheartskins
Contra for N64 is incredibly frustratingly impossible.

zoony
Mrs Pac Man was pretty dam hard on the higher levels.... especially the level when you eat the pellet and the ghosts don't even blink, they just momentarily change direction. ....

fight_on_til_you_have_won
Come on, who said Contra? The only thing that makes Contra hard is trying to beat it without dying. Beating it is easy as hell... with a friend, you can knock it out in fifteen minutes. The two that jump into my head are Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts and Super Star Wars. Yoshi's Island is pretty hard too.

Oh geez, I forgot about Battletoads... I had many of these :tantrum: trying to handle that pain in the ass of a game. It was fun, though.

CurseReversed
my roomate can beat contra no problem without any codes, so I wouldnt rank that as one of the hardest games. I remember trying to beat super ghouls at a sleepover one night when i was 12, and it was very tough but we did it. I used to have a friend back in the day whose mission it was to beat every nintendo game, and when he was done he would put it up on his wall. I remember him telling me that this one game twin towers or something (I cant remember) was the hardest he ever played. I ll try and do some research and find the real name. Kurd Cudins
The hardest video game was actually an arcade game. Some will be too young to remember a hologram game called Time Traveler where you played the role of a cowboy and had to shoot your way through little scenes. It was the coolest thing at first, but I couldn't get past the second level and it was too expensive to keep trying. Cool looking game though. SEGA!
