fdarugar
http://www.suntimes.com/output/mulligan/cst-spt-mully231.html Looks like it would be a good trade for both sides. Jones is veteran back capable of producing near Edge's level last year and the Bears want to pave the way for Benson. I'd say Jones worth the Colts' 2nd rounder. Santana_Fan
I hope not, I hate the Colts and Thomas Jones is one of my favs.
diesel22
Jones/Benson situation is not unlike Rivers/Brees in SD. Team drafts young (supposed) stud and then the vet that hadn't been producing just goes crazy. Jones absolutely put the Bears in a position where their #1 draft pick could not get on the field. His performance (often through injuries) was amazing all yr long. I think if the Bears do this deal and hand over the reins to Benson, they will take a significant step backwards (much like will happen in SD with Rivers)
Oldskool
Apparently the Colts have backed away from this idea. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/cs-060423bearsbits,1,4578580.story?coll=cs-bears-headlines&ctrack=1&cset=true Indianapolis is known to have expressed interest in Jones, but a source close to the running back said that Colts President Bill Polian has cooled on the idea.
