mrhogg
I think Nemo as our FB this year would be a good fit. The guy is a beast. We can use him like the steelers used Bettis. Im tired of being on the goal line and our little running backs not being able to get us in. Any thoughts?
CPstretch
well that is the only position he will be playing if he sees the field, so yes
OVCChairman
I dont think he can handle playing EVERY play yet. I'd like to see him in the preseason and see if he's learned out blocking schemes and make sure he would be able to defer a 250 lb lineman before i want to put him in the starting role. other then that, i would love to see the guy on the field. I think he has decent speed and a lot of strength, and a couple people i know have a son who played with him at citadel and apparently he has a pretty good work ethic. so YES i would like to see him carry the ball....as long as he can play the rest of the position, and he hasnt realy proven anything yet edit : whoops
H-O-G
Mike Sellers earned the job as FB last year, I think Nemo could play some special teams along with rotating and substituting for Sellers when hes tired.

What Linebacker weighs that much? Nemo actually weighs more than the majority of them.
OVCChairman
275 Lb linebacker??? What Lb weighs that much? Nemo actually weighs more than the majority of linebackers. when dallas puts ware on the outside, and when gints put Osi out there. i guess i could have worded that differently. Let me change that to 275 lb LINEMAN
posse87
when dallas puts ware on the outside, and when gints put Osi out there. i guess i could have worded that differently The Giants home page has osi listed at 280 Lbs but according to one of my buddies whom is a Giants fan osi weighs about 250 Lbs and I think Ware is in the same ball park. OVCChairman
Osi weighs about 240 to 250 Lbs and I think Ware is in the same ball park. are you reading my posts to try and make me feel dumb? it's still early for me

OVCChairman
No man. Definitely not trying to do that, just trying to stimulate some interactive discussion. Oh i know im just kidding. If you read my post, size wasnt exactly the thing i was worried about with Nemo. Its more his mental ability. I would like to see him maybe get some more plays at FB on 1st or 2nd down, when hes just going to be lined up against one person and all he has to do is knock the snot out of them. I would also like to see him maybe get some time on maybe 2nd and short where he's only got to get a few yards. build his confidence and be a solid backup for sellars for the time being so that when needed he can step in. Also.....you guys think he would be a bad fit behind Cooley as an H-Back?

I agree. Nemo was a running back in college and as such I wanted to see him take over as the primary short yardage FB/tailback and the backup blocking/receiving FB. Imagine him lined up behind Sellers on 4th and one. There better be a truck getting into the hole to stop that tandem for no gain. Even though they divided the group into TE's and FB's rather than HB, I am sure they will look at some jumbo packages with Nemo being the ball carrier with a lead blocking full back. Let's not forget Manuel White. He a was a TD machine in college and played FB, so he is moving back to his natural position. Can't wait to see how that position shakes out and the subtle differences in how the FB's are used individually. I am sure Sellers will be the primary blocking/pass receiving FB. Also we could definitely see Selllers lining up on the line in short yardage as a TE.
