What have you seen that we havent that makes you think he is ready? I will go with what Gibbs does. No offense. Gibbs sees him every day.

SkinsNeverDie
I think we have the guys around Campbell that could get us to the playoffs anyways. We'd probably do better with Brunell, but this is a good team. There would be about a 2-3 game difference.

EnFoRcEr_uPu
Yea, we could always use a 25th post about this. I honestly think non-searched topics should result in temp bans period. It's getting old.

Peregrine
The good thing is, History is for us. I was reading an article on I think ESPN, that outlined QBs drafted in recent years, and their performance relative to how much they played their rookie year, and the team around them. Every rookie that played the most their Rookie year. The #1 way for a young QB to be succesful, was to sit and learn, and then start in a situation where he did not have to win, he simply had to avoid fumbling the snap. We have that. We have a great defense, one where our offense can suck to high heaven and we can still win games. We have a dominant rushing game. And now we have a great receiving core, talent wise, with the best OC in the game. If Campbell were inserted into the lineup, he would have a benefit of a year of sitting and learning, and he would be in the perfect situation for a young QB to thrive. Like he said :applause: Why don't you just start a "Paper or Plastic" Thread? It would have the same meaning. If you think Cambell is ready you must have been at every practice and watching film on the guy right?

Sailskipper
I Think Campbell is ready. Time for new leggs in a faster game. Will need them against the Gnats. If Campbell Starts we wont mae it to the Super Bowl this year...he just doesnt have the experience to take us all the way. When we are primed to make it there it makes more sense to start Brunell. Pluss another year as a backup learning teh Offense will help Campbell in the future.
SkinsNeverDie
Here's the question. Will Gibbs put Campbell in if Brunell gets injured? Or will he go with the veteren Todd Collins?
PleaseBlitz
I Think Campbell is ready. Time for new leggs in a faster game. Will need them against the Gnats. Im just curious. What makes you think Campbell is ready? Have you seen him play since LAST preseason? I havent, and im 15 minutes from Redskins Park.
shagman
I don't want either of the two...We need Brett Favre or this season will be a bust. Why dont we just go for Dan Marino or Joe Montana? I have faith that whoever gets the start this year, it will be because Joe Gibbs believes it to be best for the team. I honestly dont think Joe Gibbs will read the countless threads saying that they want Jason Campbell to start. Why? because they are monotonous and without any justification. I dont see any reason to not start Mark Brunell at the start of the season. Even if Jason Campbell has a great pre season I think MB will still start for at least the first couple games IMO, maybe after the Dallas game or later but not until then. I could be wrong but oh well Why don't people like Mark Brunell? I like Jason Campbell too and want to see him play, but give it a rest until it happens. Joe Gibbs knows best

BleedBNG
Here's the question. Will Gibbs put Campbell in if Brunell gets injured? Or will he go with the veteren Todd Collins? This is a good question. Let's say both Todd and Jason look about even in the preseason. This is gonna sound weird but, if MB is injured - Todd. If MB starts looking bad and the boobirds come out - Jason.
