Destino
WASHINGTON - Nobody expects to get a letter from a member of Congress that ends with an expletive. But that's what happened when Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (news, bio, voting record), R-Mo., recently corresponded with a resident of her southeast Missouri district. The letter ended with a profane, seven-letter insult beginning with the letter a — "i think you're an. ..." Emerson says she can't explain how the offensive language made it into the letter, which otherwise reads like a typical response to a citizen's question about last year's testimony of oil executives before the Senate Commerce Committee. iheartskins
That's hilarious. I love the fact that she tried to give it a personal sign by putting the note on the bottom, but she clearly didn't read the letter.

oriolesfan93p
Is it possible that she dictated the letter and then added that personal note at the bottom when she signed it, having only skimmed the beginning of it to know which letter she was responding to? also, why is it that a copy of this letter found its way into the hands of the "Missouri Democratic Party" in the first place... is it possible that either someone in the office made sure that there would be a copy of this sent there? I find that fact more than a little odd, unless the guy was a democrat and he just sent the letter to them in an effort to get something resolved for lack of a better person to contact. I think this is likely. also, why is it that a copy of this letter found its way into the hands of the "Missouri Democratic Party" in the first place... is it possible that either someone in the office made sure that there would be a copy of this sent there? Cmon, don't be paranoid. THis was just a silly mixup, or maybe a disgruntled staffer gone wild.
