This guy knows his math, (women drivers) ;)

He writes:

I was riding to work yesterday when I observed a

female driver, who

cut right in front of a pickup truck, causing the

driver to drive onto the

shoulder to avoid hitting her.

This evidently angered the driver enough that he

hung his arm out is

window and gave the woman the finger.

"Man, that guy is stupid," I thought to myself. I

ALWAYS smile nicely

and wave in a sheepish manner whenever a female

does anything to me in

traffic, and here's why:

I drive 48 miles each way every day to work.

That's 96 miles each day.

Of these, 16 miles each way is bumper-to-bumper.

Most of the bumper-to-bumper is on an 8 lane

highway.

There are 7 cars every 40 feet for 32 miles.

That works out to 982 cars every mile, or 31,424

cars.

Even though the rest of the 32 miles is not

bumper-to-bumper, I

figure I pass at least another 4000 cars.

That brings the number to something like 36,000

cars that I pass

every day.

Statistically, females drive half of these.

That's 18,000 women drivers!

In any given group of females, 1 in 28 has PMS.

That's 642.

According to Cosmopolitan, 70% describe their love

life as

dissatisfying or unrewarding.

That's 449.

According to the National Institute of Health, 22%

of all females

have seriously considered suicide or homicide.

That's 98.

And 34% describe men as their biggest problem.

That's 33.

According to the National Rifle Association, 5% of

all females carry

weapons and this number is increasing.

That means that EVERY SINGLE DAY, I drive past at least one female

that has a lousy love life, thinks men are her

biggest problem, has

seriously considered suicide or homicide, has PMS,

and is armed.

Give her the finger? I don't think so

Haven't spent as much time in the Tailgate as I used to and hope this one hasn't been posted already, (in the last year anyway).

 awesome post...and such a good point. Never giving a woman the finger again.

That actually reminds me of a story from awhile ago, and I was on my way to the bar that night.

A woman cut me off, I drove by her, and flipped her off when she looked over at me. Later that night I met this REALLY attractive girl, was hitting it off, then she said to me..."Wait, you drive a Blue car right?" I said yup, and she said "Well thanks for flipping me off" and stormed away. :(

Never flipping off a girl again

The true reason not to be rude to women even if they can't drive

Before we all laugh too hard, there are armed woman drivers out there and in some cases it's a real good thing.

I haven't been able to dredge up the link yet, but about four or five years ago a woman on Rt. 2 in Massachusetts probably had life saved because she was carrying a handgun in her car....

As she got on Rt. 2, a delivery vanpulled up behind her and tried to get her to accelerate beyond the speed she was comfortable traveling at. When she failed to speed up enough for him, he accelerated at her, as though he was going to ram her. When that didn't work, he pulled up along side her and acted as though he was going to pull over and run her off the road.

She had called the MSP as soon as this began and was told that the nearest trooper would be dispached to her assistance, but that it was likely to be nearly 10 minutes before the trooper got there. When the van appeared to be trying to run her off the road, the woman retrieved a Smith & Wesson 3" bbl revolver from her purse and held it up to her driver's side window. Her statement later indicated that when the man in the van's passenger seat saw the gun "his eyes got wide and he went white as a ghost". The van proceeded to pass her at high speed and accelerate away from her. Having met the woman in question, she says that she is quite sure if she hadn't had the gun, the van driver WOULD HAVE run her off the road.

She pulled into the first rest stop on Rt. 2 to get her wits together and wait for the Mass. State Trooper who, after listening to her story, proceeded to attempt to arrest her and tell her there was nothing he could do about the van, in spite of the fact that she had the make/model/plates for the vehicle. Eventually, the menacing case against her was thrown out and the van driver was ticketed for reckless driving.
