I know Ill get hell for this one. I decided to put a picture in my signature. I searched and searched, and found some good threads by Chubakah. However, I couldnt understand a thing he was saying, or anyone else for that matter. If I have a picture saved to my computer already, can I use that for my sig. I went to User CP, edit Signature, and tried to add an image, but some box popped up wanting text or something. Can anyone explain this in english.

The picture has to be hosted somewhere on the net so that it has its own url (basically an address where it can be found). That url is the text that the box is looking for. You can host your own pictures at places like photobucket.com.

Hope that helped!

try this - copy the following:

http://sportsmed.starwave.com/media/pg2/2002/0307/photo/s_gibbs_i.jpg

i found a picture and copied what was in the "www...." box at the top of the screen. Once you copy that, reply to this thread. When you reply click on the little picture image above the response box (it has a picture of a mountain) then paste that address in the field - reply and voila!

edit - quote this post and copy the address from the quote.
