NONE. We are going to pick Cromartie damn it! CRO_MAR_TIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! j/k.

But on a more serious note, I think we are going to trade up and draft that kid from FSU who plays corner back. He is like 6'2 and runs a 4.4 40. I think his name is Antonio Cromartie :)

i understand the point about saying we dont need to draft a CB right now since springs still has some years left in him but at the same time, this draft is unbelievably deep at CB and so it might be wise to use this draft to pick up someone who can be a redskin for a long time

The only problem is the Bears wouldn't do that deal in a million years.

Their 2006 1st rounder is worth 700 points.

Our 1st and 2nd next year are worth a combined 525 points because future picks are devalued one round.

Even throwing in next year's 3rd rounder would only bring it up to 587 points.

If the Redskins wanted to do a deal with the Bears, it would have to be a package of next year's 1st and this year's 2nd. That's really the only way the Redskins can put together a package of enough value to move up that high.

Umm, I didn't see the name of the guy we would pick with the 26th pick in your poll.

Demeco Ryans/OLB/Alabama

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 236

40 Time: 4.66

Vertical Jump: 29"

Bench Press: 23 reps

DOB: 7/28/1984

Interested Teams: Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans, Washington Redskins

Projected Round: 1st-2nd

Strengths: Displays amazing leadership ability and intelligence on and off of the field. Achieved a 3.5 GPA in while at Alabama and graduated in three and a half years with a degree in management. Very productive career, especially his senior season where he played a crucial role in the Tide's smothering defense- chipping in with 76 tackles (16 for loss), 5 sacks and an interception. Shows excellent "game speed" and doesn't miss tackles very often. Works hard and gets the most out of his abilities. Could become a "defensive quarterback" at the next level with his football smarts and leadership.

Weaknesses: Lacks the amazing measurables that NFL scouts drool over, which has become the trend of first round linebackers as of late. Could stand to gain some muscle to his physique in order to hold his ground at the next level. Natural speed leaves a bit to be desired, but plays faster than he is timed. Can be a liability in coverage in the pros despite doing an adequate job during his stint in the SEC.

Overall: Despite some quibbles about his size, speed and strength, Ryans possesses all of the intangibles and tackling ability (which is often taken for granted in favor of gaudy combine numbers) to succeed in the NFL. He has a lot of character, intelligence and something that you can't teach (no, not speed but leadership). Ryans saved his best for last, finishing his Alabama career as a First Team All-American. He should go in the first round even with only an average combine and if he does drop, a team may find themselves a steal.

Reminds you of: Lofa Tatupu, Seattle Seahawks

That's what we did last year. I think moving up this year would cost us more than it was worth. Stand pat and pick the best linebacker available at #53--and that should leave us with someone pretty good.
