herrmag
Honestly, it used to be the reason I came here. Now, there is nothing but nonsense. Well, there are some good threads, but if the "BREAKING NEWS" has nothing, I don't bother. Any long-timers feel the same way? I'm not dissing new ppl, and I realize the subject has been beaten to death. But seriously, does anyone go to "STADIUM" and not "BREAKING NEWS" for info about the skins? TheDoyler23
You can only take so many "lets resign Lavar," "Lets Draft__" and "OMFG ST Rulezzz" threads sometimes.

PCS
It wasn't that long agon, ( as years go), when people were saying similar things about The Tailgate. Hmmmmm.

Raub
I agree, the Stadium has become pretty unreadable. I hop in there real quick to see if there's anything of worth. Usually takes less than 30 seconds. I'm probably part of the problem, it's just easier for me to ignore the stupid threads instead of making suggestions. Jofizz
I know I'm still condsidered somewhat new here, but I was a long time lurker and I know the drastic changes this site has made since the merger. I can hardly stand going into the stadium anymore, there are way too many useless threads and members that have pathetic posts that read "lol yeah" or "I agree" just to boost their post count. If that's what they want, they should only post in the game threads. I think quality on this board could go back to how it was not that long ago if we make a push for it. As many people on this board say, we need quality over quantity.
PCS
In my opinion, it's the volume of the things mentioned going on, ( it's not as bad as it was a few months ago), not the content itself. Much of what is over on The Stadium has been there it's just that there wasn't as much of it in the past. Part and parcel of the deal with the growth of the site. As for Tailgate being saner, that's debatable. Frankly, I've seen things get every bit as nasty here as it has over in The Stadium. There just isn't as much of it. And there have been things posted here recently, that I'm not so sure would have flown a few years ago, but then that may be just me.
88Comrade2000
Better stop complaining or Synder will take away the tailgate! Remember, ExtremeSkins is Redskins properity now. When you have 50,000+ members as opposed to say 5000- this is what you going to get. I only read something real interest otherwide I don't read much in the Stadium. Too many posts to track. If there's a technical way that prevents new threads; that would be great. Ie you have to search first before you are allowed to create a new thread and if that thread is similiar to what's there- you won't be able to create a new thread. I would say 50% ,if not more, members are just bandwagon fans! So what do expect from them.
Om
And I continue to wonder why some members who talk about missing what ES "used to be" spend so much of their ES time nowadays publically looking down their noses at one certain aspect of it, instead of taking it upon themselves to try to make that aspect "better" in their eyes by leading/encouraging/participating in discussion there. If you think there's a dearth of good Redskins talk in the Stadium, seems to me that as ES members, we have two options. We can complain about and sneer at it from afar, or we can actually try to do something about it. Just sayin'.
PCS
As an addendum, and this is going to come out a bit more harsh than it should, but if this indeed is a shared opinion by many here in Tailgate, then how about going over and doing something about it? You know. Help? It is "our" community in many ways and if it's important enough for some to come over to Tailgate and complain about, then it should be important enough to something about it. EDIT: Sigh. I should have know when I saw Om reading the thread that I'd end up saying something similar, just not nearly as well.
kevinklein
Intelligent discussion is far for prominent during the season. During the season topic possiblity are endless. There's analysis of the prior games, future game, playoffs pictures, playoff performances. The stadium was great when Snyder was on his spending spree. It's boring as hell now. I can't wait until August when the Stadium starts to kick into a gear where I can give back to the conversation. Most of it is to dimwitted right now. Om
That "something" would be talking football, Sarge. Plain old, ES-level, know-your-**** and be able to talk about it football. But, realistically, I love the site, but there's not much we can do to keep our threads from going to page 2. My apologies, and I understand you as a mod can only do so much. But my point is valid. Honestly, there is no answer. It's sad, but realistic. I'll still post in the threads with merit, and not in the rest. That's the only way to look at things. We don't need more mods. We need more guys simply setting the example and leading the way. That's well and fine, but with so many members it doesn't take long before things end up on page 2,3,4,5,6. Not much we can do about that. What we can do is limit posting for newbies, and definately keep, if not bump up the minimum letters required in a post. That would cut out the "LOL", "Hell yeah" and other garbage responses from post bumpers and morons. That, along with limiting the ability of newbs to post new stuff unless cleared through the mods
DCsportsfan53
Admittedly, I don't post or read as much in the stadium as I used to but it is also offseason. I think there are still quality discussions over there, if you can find them. I just try to ignore the retarded posts and contribute to the discussions. Its not as bad as some would make it out to be, though it is frustrating at times. Also, there's a lot of good football discussion in the Around the NFL forum if the Stadium is too hectic. I admit it, I don't help the problem by ignoring it, but really it seems out of the control of ordinary posters. It is what it is. I stick my head in, browse the few interesting threads, then duck out. Interesting. I just read all 51 posts currently up. In almost all of them, there was decent discussion about Spurrier. Good points, some research and stats, some back and forth. Some humor. Bit 'o repartee. We only got 8 in, unfortunately, before someone (interestingly enough, the very someone who started this thread in Tailgate complaining about the level of conversation in the Stadium) lowered the bar by saying simply that "spurrier sucked." Which, naturally, someone else (post 24) had to respond and name-call. But overall, a pretty good thread. With room to be made better, which is what I assume what most of those reading along here are about to head over to help with. Right? So ... what exactly was the Exhibit supposed to prove
