Nationals Need a Dan Synder Type of Owner

I'm in full support of the Nationals, however it makes me sad knowing that no matter how hard they play, they will never make the playoffs due to not having an owner.

When they finally do get one I pray that he has deep pockets and geniuenly cares about the team. This area can easily fund a large market team easily and I'd love for nothing more than to see the Nats thrive and once again be able to have playoff baseball in the hometown.

I just hope that in the end we don't get stuck with a cheap owner who turns us into the Pittsburgh Pirates because that would truly be a shame.

Major League baseball is being a ****ing joke as usual... Selig again showing why he can't hold Tagliabue's or even Sterne's jock as a commissioner. He doesn't care about the Nats at all. I'll go one further and say that at this point he is almost trying to punish them. This ownership situation was supposed to be solved BEFORE last all-star break. Then before Labor Day, at the absolute latest. Then during the off-season. And at the ABSOLUTE latest, by opening day. He's a joke. And to an extent, so is MLB. Just one reason why it will never hold a candle to the mostly selfless NFL.

Just watch... the NFL will make sure the Saints succeed. While MLB wouldn't give two sh!ts.

Dude, there is a Nationals sectuin to extremeskins, you should post this there.....

F u, the tailgate is for anything we wish to discuss. Don't read it if you don't want, but you hate the Nationals, so you can't not read it, can you?

Your wicked Emperor Palpatine Angelos is to blame for much of this. But he's only delaying the inevtiable.

I'm a semi-Nationals fan with my first team being the yankees, but the nats get SCREWED year after year. Just look at this season so far....They have to travel all the way back from Houston to play their home-opener against the Mets. The Mets get to take a "travel day" and fly down to DC. Now wtf, don't you think the home team should have a little bit of time before playing its home-opener? The yankees had three days after their west-coast start! The nats don't even get one!

First off, I don't hate the Nationals, I like them, and Angelos isn't to blame for your problems its Selig. Just because Angelos wanted things doesn't mean that Selig couldn't be a MAN and tell him NO, or work a true compromise out with him, instead of giving into all the demands.

Sure you can post this in the tailgate, anything can be posted in the tailgate, but there are sections set aside in order to keep things in order. When there is an appropriate section for a thread, it should be there.

Fruthermore, I am not to blame for Angelos being the owner. Nor is Angelos in any way shape or form to blame for the Nats not having an owner. Bud Selig is the man you should be directing your hate towards when it comes to this matter.

Things that SELIG did and continues to do to hinder the growth of the Nationals Franchise:

Awarded the TV contract to MASN arbitratily, along with most profits from that contract.

Kept the team for last year and this year on a salary cap.

Delaying naming an owner who might be able to lift that cap and possibly fix the TV deal.

Kept fighting with the City Council about the Stadium, another thing having an owner would have fixed.

Threatens to move the team to somewhere else still.

There are probobly more to list but this was all I could think of while typing this messege.
