redskinedwizard
do you guys think we have enough cap room for him. he hasnt even visited redskins park yet. i think he would be a great vet to add to the team. 2nd or 3rd CB....and it would bring a lot of depth and education to Rogers....anyone think he'd be a good fit? Jimbo
As has been discussed here ad naseum, Ty Law will most likely not sign anywhere where he won't be a designated starter or given the chance to start, at the very least. He played in the Pro Bowl just a couple months ago so I see no reason why he'd even entertain coming to D.C. It's unlikely we can afford him and he's really not a veteran leadership kind of guy. terpfan
We dont have that kind of money. There's a reason why we signed Kenny Wright.
jnhay
I thought he was more of a primary corner?
Fifty Gut
he wants $10 million in gurantees he will not play nickel we will not give a nickel CB $10 million in gurantees how does this not make sense to people?
CPstretch
we have starting corners. ty law had 10 INTs last year, he will want to start, not play nickel
ScottnSharrer
Our secondary is no longer a focal point of the coaches during the remainder of FA and the draft. Ty Law will go to a team that hasn't been very active yet in the FA market. I honestly could see Denver looking at him to start opposite of Champ. BigRay
The only way I see him coming here if he's willing to play nickle but he still feel he can be a starter in this league and his asking price will be too much so, I have to say no.
DCMONEY
I think if Law were to come here he'd be a starter just off experience. Thats not a knock on Rogers.

CrossWalker
do you guys think we have enough cap room for him. No I don't. He is a phenomenal talent but I doubt the team would have even considered him unless Springs was not with us for wahtever reason. Since I am very happy to say that is not the case there is no reason to even bring Law in. Unless, the FO wanted to see his price escalate even more since the Redskins are not shy when it comes to signing bonus'. I expect that a visit by Mr. Ty Law would get crazy attention in the medai that any good agent would certainly attempt to parlay into more guaranteed money. Waleo32
TY Law is a number 1 DB not 2 nor, damn nor 3! So we have no chance in getting Ty Law! Thats all!
Sailskipper
And dont forget that he had a lot of penalties last year. He had so many penalties that people say they cost the team more then they got back with the INTs. Id rather not have a player who is going to loose us yards with stupid penalties

But the fact of the matter is that it wouldn't be good financially.
Tastes Like Chicken
I hate to say this but, CR would maybe have to take a seat for Law. Law had 10 interceptions last year. Our entire team only had 6 more than Law. Our leading interceptors were Lemar Marshall and Ryan Clark. 'Nuff said.

laurent
Carlos Rogers was brought in to start, and start he will. Why stunt his development and pay an aging corner upwards of $10 million when we have a capable corner on our roster?
PotomacSkinsFan
he's not gonna come here. id like it, but he wont. a) We cant afford him, we used a first round pick on a corner last year, c) we just signed wright to be our nickel, d) the signing of wright also means that the coaching staff is confident with rogers as a starter (I am too), and we all know what springs is capable of. If someone gets hurt, I hope Jimoh can step in and be the man. I like Jimoh, so I think we have 4 solid corners on our team.
Peregrine
The odds of signing law are the odds of trading for TO from the Cowboys. Wont happen.
jmcardle1982
I don't want Ty Law. He is old and all he cares about is money. We are trying to build a team not a bunch of individuals.
planter
Ty Law is awesome. A cover guy who can tackle. Alas, like the Pats, we can't afford him. Skins fan in NH (Pats are #2) (come back Willie and Lavar)

bulldog
the one thing the Redskins are missing right now is a 33 year old cornerback who wants near a team high bonus, right? didn't I hear Gregg Williams say a couple of days ago that this was the case?
