Those make great key-chains.

Actually, thats what I did with most of my old DIMMs .

Dimms are a little big for keychains but SIMMs on the other hand, they have the precut hole and everything... I used to make the simms keychains, it was the only way I could sell the old chips :D

My dad is a gadget nut.

Back in the 1960s he bought an electronic calculator. They just came out. It cost him $200, which is probably equal to seven hundred dollars today.

Back in 1978, he had a machine that ran an OS called CP/M. DOS wasn't even out yet. No hard disk drive, just one 8 inch floppy drive which the machine booted up from. One small monochrome monitor. 512 kb total ram. One daisy wheel nine-pin printer. Total cost was seven grand. And that was back when seven grand was a lot of money.

Our first computer was a 486 sx 33 or something like that. 4 mb of ram, 200 mb hard drive, it was pretty awesome. We spend 30$ per mb to upgrade to 8 mb of ram, and I remember my brother pulling heavy for Dos 6.0 as it somehow gave you more hard drive space. Those were the days!
