rm8899
What are your thoughts on our first NFC E games being away? with all of our 2nd NFC E games at home. i'm liking it. you?
stat2883
I like it too. Assuming we're making a playoff push, it will be good to have late season, pivotal divisional matchups at home. Good way to build momentum.
terpfan
I like it a lot. That and 4 of our last 6 are at home. And the week 8 bye. As far as strength of schedule its not easy, but I like the timing of it a lot.

MCnDaHouse
Wish we could have caught the Saints in the first 4 games. They could be dangerous at that point of season, nothing to lose. MC
PotomacSkinsFan
The key to the season is the last 4 games. MustangSteve
Agree, would rather play them at home later in the season, hopefully this time we take the division in one of them home games.
JMUGator19
actually what is terrible is that all the away games against NFC east division are when they have a bye week to prepare... so basically you can chalk up a loss to the giants eagles and cowboys when we play on their turf... End2round2sanders
I like the way the last 6 games play out. 3 in a row at home after a tough sint in Oct.-mid Nov. Followed by 2 easy road games and the finally against NY. I think we can win those last 6 so even if we win 3 of the first 10 I think we can pull out a 9-7 record. And thats worst case scenario if you ask me.

While I agree you can chalk that Dallas game up as a loss..... I dont think it will be due to the bye week.... Bye weeks can be good or bad for teams. At least y'all get the bye right at the middle of the season (ours is week3) and you also get to play us at home coming off your bye. Also Dallas opens the season with 6 of 9 on the road..... which includes a stretch of 3 in a row away from Texas Stadium (CAR, WAS coming off your bye, ARI) This year, only 5 teams in the NFL will be forced to play 3 in a row on the road.... Your team, is the only team in the NFL, lucky enough to catch 2 of those 5 teams (DAL, PHI) in the midst of 3 game road trips. Meanwhile, y'all are one of the few teams in the league, fortunate enough to get 3 consecutive at home. Not that y'alls schedule is easy, but I'd take it over ours anyday! As far as strength of schedule its not easy, but I like the timing of it a lot. I was thinking this same thing. The last six games look very winable. BUT, I'm not worried at all about he so called strength of schedule. Remember last season? We were supposed to have one of the easiest schedules in the league, and it ended up we had one of the toughest, because nobody knows what is going to happen in this league. Predicting the strength of schedule based on the previous season has proven to be misleading.

BigRay
The schedule is not too bad not extremely hard not easy somewhere in between but I think it's important for this team to get off to a quick start. We will be doing the texas 2- step back to back Dallas and Houston extremely important games . The Houston game is important because it mark the first time we have played in Houston since 88 ( I think) didn't fare to well in matter of fact we got manhandled never forget that game against the Oilers. TimmySmith
No question that the Skins schedule is probably about as easy as it could be based on who we play. Start at home. Mid season bye week. Late season 3 game home stand. End at home versus our toughest division opponent. Best case scenerio.

TheGreek1973
Why is it that we play the Bucs and Rams again away. We did it last year you would think one of those games would be at home.

aussieskin
We will win the first and last, of all the other games the only two that bother me is the giants at the swamp and the colts, I really dont think the other teams will bother us too much, our offence is capable of scoring 28+ points a game our defence is capable of keeping other teams to under 14 points a game, as much as i would love to see the skins win all 16 i think we could possibly lose one or two. But i really dont think we will.
Mark The Homer
The only real problem I have is the @ Dallas game. It sucks to have to play Monday, then fly all the way to Dallas for a game on Sunday. But at least it's a late game. Kickoff is 8:15. That helps a little. I love the fact that we host Dallas after a bye. I like the last six games of the season. The away games appear winnable. The home games are tough, but at home, so they are winnable too. I predict that one 1PM game gets moved to 4 PM like last year. If Philly is winning, I bet the Redskins at Eagles game gets moved to 4 PM, in place of the Dallas @ Arizona game. I also predict one 1PM game gets moved to 8:15 PM later in the season; the Carolina home game or the Philly home game, for example.

Warhead36
I like our chances. We need to be either 4-3 going into the bye with one divisional win, or 5-2 if we lose both divisional games.
Riggo#44
From ESPN - thought this was interesting: Who is your pick to win the NFC East? 40.8% Dallas 25.4% N.Y. Giants 23.7% Washington 10.1% Philadelphia Please continue to poo-poo the Skins. It just feeds Gibbs us-vs-the-world; no gimmies motivation

That is a bunch of hooey and you know it. The only advantage would be playing those teams in the 3rd game of that stretch. We play the Cowboys in the 2nd of the 3 games and the Eagles in the 1st of the 3. You guys play the Giants in the 2nd of 2 straight road games for them. You play the Bucs in the 1st of 2 straight roads games. And more importantly, you play the Eagles in the 3rd of their 3rd straight road games.
