shotstoppa
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/0604/gallery.toughplaces/content.1.html CALLING ALL SKINS FANS... If you guys are as die-hard as I am, especially if you go to the games, this is an official challenge. I don't know how they get off not putting the Redskins in the top ten of the toughest places to play in the league, but I see this article as an official challenge to all Redskins fans to make life as tough, miserable, and unpleasant as possible for opposing teams. I could care less what Howard Bryant said (or whoever it was that wrote the article in the Washington Post) about there being no place in sports for the fans having a place in the game. FedEx Field is our home and nobody pushes us around in our house. WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE! Whos' with me in taking this to the next level this year??? :dallasuck :eaglesuck :gaintsuck
Jofizz
We already are at the next level. We know that. The players know that. The opposing teams know that. That list means nothing to me.
Sinclair
The RCA dome at 3RD!?!?! no way, they have the dumbest fans in the league! yes they are loud(only because they have a tiny a*s dome)...but they are also loud when the colts need a crucial play! wow freakin ford field should be rated higher than the RCA dome. thelarkascend1ng
to be fair though, arrowhead looks really scary on tv. i still kind of wish we had made that list. still, i think that most stadiums in the nfl can be a big factor in the game. maybe not arizona and teams like that so much, but you know... MattGeorge85
I think time of year should be considred also. You might get a bunch of noise out of the RCA dome but put Indy outside in the dead of winter and they are not nearly as tough. Teams that play outside tend to do better later in the season when the weather may not be ideal, or just plain cold. Case in point: most of us remember Mike Vick looking like he didn't even want to play on that MNF game in Chicago in late December. He ran faster to his jacket on the sidelines than at any point during the game.
Jofizz
Agreed...we were 6-2 last year, both losses the result of mental breakdowns We could have easily been 8-0 at home. We weren't thinking during those two very winable games against the Chargers and Raiders. Look out in 2006. FedEx will be rocking.

I have been to that stadium it's unbelieveable the crowd really gets behind their chiefs I mean that stadium shakes to it's foundation..
skinfan2k
i mean, we should not be on this list, quite yet. We had 1 dominate season at home, last year. Many of these venues, the teams are able to have a winning recrod at home despite their overall performance in the standings.
CrypticVillain
I agree with KC being number one but the vikings over us come on give me a break.
MoeRedskins
No. 9Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia Eagles) It doesn't have the bumpy surface of the old Veterans Stadium to trip opponents up, but Lincoln Field can get pretty crazy. Before T.O.-gate struck the Eagles last year, they were nearly unbeatable in front of a loyal, green-clad crowd. Didn't Philly lose the first like 4 games there? Anyway, the Skins have just made the Fed a factor this year. Before is was not a tough place to play b/c most fans would sell their tickets to opposing teams. Now the Skins are winning and The Fed is becoming a harder place to play. It unforutante though, RFK would easily be #1 on this list if they still played there. lunarluau
Up until last season we weren't one of the toughest places to play. As a matter of fact there were a number of games in there at Fed Ex 2,3,4 years ago where it was like a Mausoleum (Did I spell that right?). Therefore. I think the list is somewhat accurate. Things are changing. This is the season where we pump it up and reaffirm our standing as the best fans and toughest place to play.
TLusby
We should be on that list simply because we have 99k fans who are screaming. The stadiums listed only hold 55-70k. It's pure physics!
