Beacuse i just realized i really hate everthing that is dallas especially sports teams, i hate the dallas mavericks, the cowboys, and just about everything dallas you name it i hate it lol. I do like the houston rockets, but i cant really hate texas, alot of great athletes come out of there, especially in my sport of track and field, so i cant really hate texas.

Living in Texas and being a Die Hard Skins fan is GREAT! There is a big diffrence between Dallas and Houston. You have to understand most people in Houston HATE anything affiliated with the Cowboys and Dallas the town. The people of Dallas or 90% are stuck up and think they are the best at everything. They are very uneducated when it comes to football. Go to a game and they will boo all calls against Dallas and not have a clue what's going on. It's more of a social event for them to show off there fake boobs and new fur coat's. We in Houston call them the 40k a year millionaires. :dallasuck

I love the city plus I have family in Dallas who are Cowboy fans unfortunately so I can't say that I hate the city because I usually have a good time when I do go there and some of their fans aren't as bad as you think.. But I do agree cowpukes sucks ! .

Texas is a pretty awesome State especially the city of Austin and Im even a fan of San Antonio. You can't beat their food and the weather isn't bad either, especially for fans of playing sports all year long. The people are kind of slow in general and different than any other state(probably a product of being taught Texas history rather than US history in schools). However, I do hate Dallas with a sweet passion and DC will always be my home.

Gee..........a homefield crowd booing a call against thier team? I've never heard of anything like that. DUH.

I do agree with the rest of your post though. Most people that go to the games in dallas, are there because it is a social event. The place to be, only if they're winning though. I live here, and even I admit they're poor fans (alot of them)

And no doubt about it, there is alot of wealth in this town, and even more 40K a year millionaires. They are everywhere. Fake boobs and Cocaine crowd they call them.

Other than that, and some miserably hot summers, this is a great town, and if any of you have spent any time here, I think you would agree its a nice place.

I said only Dallas. But, I will say that I am tired of all the Texas plates on cars in the DC area. They are tax evaders. Only elected individuals and their top 1 person of staff can keep their home plates. But, all of the staff that came in with bush in 2001 have not gotten local plates, which means they are not paying taxes here. They are breaking the law and as a tax payer, I tell them to go home every chance I get. This is a serious issue, our local and state governments are losing a great deal of tax money that could better our local communities.:logo:

I've got a lot of family in the Dallas area. I have to say the area is pretty nice. Lots to do and you can get a LOT of house for a fraction of the cost up here in NOVA. Only difference is you have all the perks of NOVA area but everything is larger to accomadate the extra people. I wouldn't mind living there, it would just suck because I'd miss out on my season tickets up here. At least I could be there to watch the Skins take down the pokes on their home turf though.

Really? How many times have you been to Texas? Seeing how you are posting from Australia, I hope you have spent some time in here before you make a statement like that.

AT FedEx there is a large "Wine & Cheese" population of Redskins fans.

Maybe last year it started to thin out and more diehards returned...but FedEx has the feel of a social event at times as well.

Maybe our "Wine & Cheese" is the Dallas version of the "Fake boobs and Cocaine crowd".

Gawd that just sounds funny typing it.

I only hate the Cowboys. I've actually visited Dallas for a business trip and had a good time. Now, they can be prejudiced, as I sadly, but not surprisingly, found out during one night out with some colleagues. But, otherwise, it's not a bad city. Six-foot-tall blondes grow on trees out there! I toured Texas Stadium. From the outside, it looks like a dump, but it was cool once I got inside. They let us go onto the field. I spat on the star and "saluted" Michael Irvin's locker.

Now thats funny. I bet it is the exact same crowd. It makes sense that you would have them too cause from what I hear it is pretty expensive to go to the games up there. The more expensive it is, the less the "Common die hard fan" can go, so that leaves the cocaine and boobs, or the wine and cheese crowd.

I don't know how it works up there, but down here, the die hards are in the upperdecks (cheaper) and the cocaine and boobs crowd are in the bottom bowl with the good seats (more expensive)

Actually, despite being a HUGE redskins fan, I'm also a dallas mavericks basketball fan (only reason being is because of Dirk Nowitzki - if Dirk got traded, y new fav team would be his new team). But sometimes when I wear my Dirk jersey I feel kinda dirty because it says Dallas on the front.

Well, everyone, pray for me. I have to go the Lion's den this weekend...I have a wedding to attend, in DALLAS. I'm dreading every minute of it.

You'll like it here man, don't sweat it. Let me know if you want to know some cool places to hang out.

I have to give cowboyuptx props. It is a very rare occurance that you see Cowboy fans that are fans of the other Dallas teams. Most are Lakers/Bulls/Yankees fans.

Dallas/Ft. Worth/Arlington is a very nice area but the football team casts a blight over the entire area that one just can't get past.
