It looks like the may have tweeked the burgundy jersey for this year.. The numbers that used to be on the sleeves look like they are up on the shoulders now with a little bit more yellow in them... take a look

may want to hold off on buying one from the Redskins store until this is official

I have no link, but I know that somewhere in the NFL game-day clothing regulations that the numbers must be on a certain position on the sleeve so that refs can see them. Think about it: If the numbers were that high up before pads, then they'd be almost facing in towards the neck with the shoulder pads on. Doesn't make sense. The change, which didn't happen, would have been seen on every jersey in the league. No worries.

In response to your sig - JKC didn't want his name on the stadium and it was originally named RalJon Stadium- after his 2 sons, but after he passed John Cooke named it JKC Stadium.

Snyder sold the naming rights because the team cost him $800 mil.

Thanks, but, I know the history. It's a quote from an ES member in the thread "If JKC talked to DS, what would the conversation be?" or something like that. It's funny. Really funny. Signature-level funny.

I know - it's cool , but many don't know (or forgot).

I think Cooke and Snyder are a lot alike, just from different generations.

That's not right.... the stadium was originally going to be named Jack Kent Cooke Stadium all along. The mailing address was going to be Raljon Maryland, after his sons, but the post office wouldn't allow it. (The nerve of them to deny Jack) So the roadway that circles the stadium got the name Raljon way.

correct, but because he passed before it was finished being built, it was called JKC Stadium by the decsion of his son.

Yeah, I went to the first game too. I have the T shirt after we beat the Cardinals, it says Jack Kent Cooke Stadium.

I know that. By the time the first game was played there it was called JKC, but it wasn't going to be called that until he passed away.

here's from a April 1997 Post article

On a day that seemed perfect for football, 400 mourners — including former Redskins coach Joe Gibbs (pictured), turned out at an invitation-only funeral in an Upperville, Va., church to bid farewell to Jack Kent Cooke on April 10, 1997. At the service, Cooke's son, John, announced a lasting memorial to his father: The team will name its new stadium after Cooke.
