if an NFL player admits or is convicted of a felony can't the NFL ban them?

Jamal Lewis served a 4 game suspension

That is a lot different than a ban, and was that Team or League imposed?

I have no idea exactly what the rule is but i'm sure that the league would not impose a suspension on a player who is of that...popularity, just a thought but dont quote me, i honestly have no idea

It is a finable offense, but I seriously doubt it is a bannable infraction. Think about it, they let you fail numerous drug tests, why would they ban you for a felony? In many states a DUI is a felony. The league would be banning players all the time if it were a bannable offense.
