WVUforREDSKINS
I was just thinking about our secondary (assuming ST is there) and wondering who looks better than that? I mean AA, Sean Taylor are probably gonna be the best safety pair in football and then we have two good corners in Carlos Rogers and Shawn Springs? I don't know who is better than that. They will be even better if our D-line can get to the QB and tip balls like they did last year. What other secondary will be as good as ours? FS36
As much as I'd hate to say it, the eagles. Everyone on their secondary but Brown been to a Pro-Bowl. Not that I think it's more than a popularity contest, but I think their secondary skill-wise as a whole matches or slighty tops ours. Dawkins=where Taylor should be next season, Lewis may not hit as hard as Archuleta, but he can cover pretty well. I'd say Springs has an edge over Lito, but Shawn is getting up there in age. Rogers has yet to fully prove himself so Brown takes that one.

Skeletor The Invincible
I'm not sold on Archuleta. Not at all. And there are a great many defensive backfields out there that are better than the Redskins.
TheREALJBird
I think best secondary goes to the Ravens. I mean Rolle, Mcallister, and Ed Reed say enough, doesn't matter who their FS is....I think the skins have a top 5 though
IM A REDSKIN FAN
I'm not sold on Archuleta. Not at all. And there are a great many defensive backfields out there that are better than the Redskins. Agreed.
Loxley
Whats wrong with Archuleta? not a flame merely a question, id only heard of him in name (not ability) before he was signed but then i dont get to see much of any team play from over here across the pond. kevinklein
Sure, our secondary is attractive...but saying it's the best in the league is being a homer. It's not even best in the division. It may be this coming year, who's to say? But as of last year...not a chance.

Doesn't anyone remember Carlos getting burned up last year? Yeah he had apick later in the season but it was thrown right to him.
Skeletor The Invincible
I've heard he makes Matt Stevens look good in coverage.
PleaseGoForTheWin
Ah, and to think that we once had Bailey, Smoot and Green as our DBs.... Now THAT was one hell of a defensive backfield.
jrockster21
Carolina has a pretty mean secondary as well; Gamble, Lucas, Davis and Minter are pretty damn good. The Eagles secondary is pretty decent as well. Kelly, Barber, Phillips and Jackson in Tampa are pretty good as well.
Laxpunk2006
Our secondary is good and has a good young core with Taylor and Rogers but it's far from the best. The Balitmore Ravens 3 returning starters in Reed, McAlister, and Rolle are all pro bowlers. Philly's secondary also has 3 pro bowlers and their other could be there some day too. jrockster21
I've heard he makes Matt Stevens look good in coverage. He was playing out of position last season, which is why he looked bad a lot of the time. Defending the pass is not his strength; he is best utilized when blitzing or up in the box run-stuffing. Sure he'll have to drop into pass-coverage at times, but I wouldn't surprised to see him take a seat in obvious passing situations. Of course you can't get much worse than Bowen... Skeletor The Invincible
When you're playing the safety position, you're going to get thrown back in coverage more than a few times a year. If an offense is good, and you're bad at coverage, they'll work in ways to get you back in coverage. We're stuck with him now, but we'll see. I haven't seen him play myself, so I'm just reiterating others' words.
